    As previously explained.....

I have a problem with people swiping entire shelves selfishly blocking off each end so people cannot get in to get their fair share. Or, as described by another forum member, snatching items off peoples kids to put in their overflowing trolley...

I think everyone would have a problem with that sort of behaviour, just wonder how you know that the ebay seller you quoted acted in that way?

What's wrong with that? The only reason I wanted stuff was mainly to sell on with the odd few things for myself ;)

Sadly though I didn't buy anything. Decided to sleep at 1:30am ish as I had school in the morning. Couldn't go to my local store for the same reason :(
In the morning, all decent things were sold out online, but to be honest the majority of the items were crap anyway - not even worth the money at 75% off a lot of it haha

Visited my local store this morning - arrived just before its opening at 8am. about 20 people waiting for store to open and on security door being raised, was amusing to see the rush to get under and into the store where it was a mad rush for the double baskets.

I was pleased with the items I bought and spent £87.

My main buys were 2 of :

    no7 ultimate collection
    champneys spa skincare set
    B&W Well Trend Washbag.

so one each of these for me and my mum :j

other odd items bought included a sock, boxer and deodrant set for the OH, a Royal Jelly Indulgence set for my aunt's birthday, a nail polish set (need to grow the nails now !) and a couple of pairs of slippers, a hat and scarf set and a botanics purse/cosmetic purse oh and a fcuk set for a birthday due soon.

I did see people with lots of the same item. Not sure if this is stocking up for gifts or for sale on the internet.

Everyone was really friendly and polite. :T

PS saw no S&G stuff but had already bought this before xmas.
  • Got plenty of great bargains in Buchanan Galleries this morning, all presents for friends and family. However, talk about a feeding frenzy, - there were folk with suitcases, yes suitcases, to fill with their purchases, so many greedy greedy people. Thanks to the staff in store for managing to retain their composure!

Could anyone tell me how crazy it is at 8:00 opening at Lakeside or Bluewater, I always think about going but end up staying local. Also does the entire shopping centre tend to stay busier the entire day as it is too far to go just for the Boots sale then coming home? Thanks all.

But why is that a problem? I don't understand why you think it's shameful for someone to buy something & sell it on eBay at a profit?

Because there a lots of greedy people out there who do this, swiping all the stock and leaving nothing for those who are unable to get to stores for opening time.

How would you feel if you had a daughter (as an example) who you knew would love and appreciate one of those S&G sets, couldn't afford one at full price and was unable to get one because you couldn't get to store until lunchtime by which time all stock had been bought up by people looking to make a profit on eBay (or elsewhere). sure, some people might be looking to pay of debts with their profits, but I hazard a guess some are doing it simply for profit. The B00ts sale is getting just like the Next sale which I avoid like the plague due to the number of rude, selfish and sometimes downright physically abusive people who go in and grab whatever they can get their hands on out of pure greed.

As always it's the few who ruin it for the many.
