  • I bet they were the ones who block off aisles etc and are just rude.

One woman kept annoying me by blocking the whole aisle with her trolley full of stuff, so rude some people it's very annoying.

Can I say, as the OP to this thread how relieved I am it is today after I said it was many weeks ago :money: I did have visions of waking up and it not being today and a lynch-mob forming :rotfl:

As I broke my foot on NYE I couldn't make the sale so set my alarm for 3am :rotfl:at 3.20am the site went live and I managed to get everything I wanted from what I had saved in my 'wish list'.

it wasn't the same as fighting the millions at the MetroCentre, but if it all goes through ok, I've got all my gifts sorted for this year.

I hope you all got what you wanted and see you all next year:T
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
  • I dropped by the Brentwood boots on my way to work this morning. They only had a few shelves of stuff but it was virtually empty with just a few people just slowing browsing the sale items - it was lovely!

I spent £30 (but i bought cough medicine as well :-P) and got 2 fcuk date planner sets, a handwash set, FCUK set with socks and boxers, No. 17 WILD mascara set, nail varnishes, a vanilla set, boots no 7 eye shadows.

They had a few of the big Ted Baker sets, loads of GOK, the S&G lip pallette, tons of wrapping paper and xmas cards (im keeping an eye on these though as i managed to get these for 10p a roll a couple of years ago where they couldn't shift them - these may go down to 90% :-P) They also had some No7 sets, sanctuary sets and mens FCUK/Trevor Sorbie/Botanics sets.

My mum and sister braved the Lakeside store where apparently it was craaazyy! They got a rather nice haul of things to put away. They managed to get me a Nutella set with the cereal bowls and a tart dish as well as some slippers, some of those big Dove sets and some lynx and FCUK stuff to put away for next xmas/birthdays etc...

    Until next year peeps........ :)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

Well on Monday the Sale section was freshly stocked, 6 double aisles in all - went in at just after 11 and it's down to half an aisle. There is no way that they had all of Mondays stock in the sale as the other sections were stripped back (sales staff do not work that quick) makes me wonder where the rest went ;)

Came out with one fcuk planner set - that's all :( Everything else was pretty much gone!

Went to my larger boots store (tunbridge wells) spend £100, saved over £300 on over 40 gifts !! thats going towards next xmas :) although.. some of it might be TOO good to give away... hmmm

They had about 8 isles FULL of lovely things.

Then went into my local store (Tonridge) it's much smaller, so wasn't expecting much, but maybe a few bits i couldn't find in the larger store... however, was told by shop assistance that they'd been instructed to send the majority of their stuff to the biggers stores !! I was really shocked at that, so basically, if you live in my home town and don't drive.. you get nothing !!
  • Didnt manage to get too much, people were being ridiculous, saw a woman buy 7 hair tongs!! Was hoping for some s&g but as I couldnt even find any at half price, figured it was wishful thinking lol

Tried shopping online at 7.15am.. forget it tried to put one item in my basket and the site crashed so managed to get down to my nearest store at a retail park with my 8 month old baby in tow and grab a few bargains :j-
FCUK womens the date planner set
Fearn cotton make up (round box one)
    FCUK men's wash/spray set
    Fisherprice safari sounds jungle
Rosie's world ribbons and curls salon
    Tomy train set
    Disney bath squirters

Didnt get everything i wanted but am happy with my little lot. Could'nt believe some people though they had trolley's that were literally overflowing with stuff! Sure that's on the verge of greedy :rotfl:

To be honest getting there early was the best idea as they still had quite a bit of stock and it was'nt silly busy. I would imagine by the end of the day most of the shelf's would of been pretty empty as things were flying off the shelves.

Decided not to bother with the nearest city as you can't get parked outside and with a buggy aswell it's nigh on impossible to carry so much.

So how did everyone else go on? This was my first year at the 75% sale and i will certainly be going next year :j. Also i bought some things in the 50% sale do you reckon i can return these? (i have a receipt)
Is the planner for yourself? I went to my town centre boots after my earlier post and picked up a few more bits and looked at the same pack but on the back it said the planner was a 2013 diary, so left it as I don't want it for myself and wouldn't be any good for later in the year unless you can replace it with a 2014 nearer the time.

It's for my MIL (mother's day pressie from hubby) as she's always online dating so thought it would be good for her even if there is only 9 months left on the diary by then.
