Boots 75% Sale

Because there a lots of greedy people out there who do this, swiping all the stock and leaving nothing for those who are unable to get to stores for opening time.
How would you feel if you had a daughter (as an example) who you knew would love and appreciate one of those S&G sets, couldn't afford one at full price and was unable to get one because you couldn't get to store until lunchtime by which time all stock had been bought up by people looking to make a profit on eBay (or elsewhere). sure, some people might be looking to pay of debts with their profits, but I hazard a guess some are doing it simply for profit. The B00ts sale is getting just like the Next sale which I avoid like the plague due to the number of rude, selfish and sometimes downright physically abusive people who go in and grab whatever they can get their hands on out of pure greed.
As always it's the few who ruin it for the many.
So you think well off people should stay away from Boots so that those who don't have much spare cash can have first chance at the bargains ?
What planet do you live on ? Whats wrong with selling stuff to make a profit ?0 -

No, I think well off people have as much right as not so well off to purchase items at a discount for themselves.
Like you (I assume) I live on planet earth. What I don't think is fair is the relatively few people who selfishly grab stuff out of pure greed preventing others enjoying the sale bargains. I'm all for enterprise, but there's a line between fair enterprise and trampling over everyone else to make a buck.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I went in to our local store (Bedford) before my shift started so about half 8, queue had formed at all 3 entrances but they only opened the main front ones originally, people were running to the back with baskets... I only wanted the Pudding bowl/jug set for my nan's birthday which I got for £3 so was really pleased, got a few make-up sets for my girl mates birthdays too and they're so pretty so got myself one too! Got a big dove set and a little dove set, Gok wan purse with handcream for another friends bday and then some male giftsets to put away for xmas as I always buy them lynx sets etc so figured i'd get them while they're on offer. Wrapping paper & xmas cards too!
Nobody was rude though - people handing stuff over to people if they couldn't get to the item etc, was chatting to a few people in the queue aswellSpent £30 in total, very pleased - popped in on my lunch at 12...literally one small bay of stuff left so VERY happy I woke up early for the first time in my life and went in before work!

I popped in at 3.30pm and got £90 worth of stuff. Used points coupons too and then spent all my points. Also website as had stock all day.
It all depends on where you live.
By 11am my nearest branch (midsized in a shopping park) was as good as empty of sale items unless you wanted burst open packs with bits missing or too small slippers.
The website had about 6 available items by 1pm and a few that looked available but were actually O/S when you clicked on them.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Popped into the Manchester store today. It was still really manic around the sales areas, but I managed to pick up four things I'd wanted off the internet and missed out on [they'd jumped out of my basket as I looked through the sales items]. Only spent £8.50 on this trip and am thus pretty pleased.
They had lots of the Royal Jelly sets and lots of the GBBO jug sets. I was tempted by the latter, as I love the GBBO as do a couple of my friends, but I left it. I couldn't think of when I would use it lol.0 -
To whoever said 'its just supply and demand' referring to resellers, they're the ones who help cause the demand!
I bought online at 3:30am and i was first into my local store. I only spent £60in total. I could have bought more but i got what i needed for birthdays and Xmas. All my girl friends love Hello Kitty for Liberty so they will be so pleased. Thanks Boots!
I still had to queue for ages as chavs infront had 3 trollies full, then another guy with 2 trollies buying multiples. Between them, they probably cleared a shelf. Thanks MSE!!0 -
Milton Keynes didn't have alot left today - just the FCUK sets (I got a couple at £2 each to pop away for xmas as I always get lynx sets so...nice for a change lol), royal jelly bags, FCUK womens "date" sets and some cards/paper.
I remember the days of being able to go to the boots sale a day late and still getting loads of stuff lolBack to Comping 2022!

visited M/Boro & 2 Stockton Stores today - lots of good bargains but what happened to all the men's stuff? We couldn't find any this year. Still very pleased with all our purchases. Thanks forumites for keeping us up to date!
I went to Teesside Park yesterday morning and there were quite a few mens sets early doors. Mainly the FCUK duo set, Top Man & FCUK pants and sock sets. Didnt get to Boro till 9.30 ish to look at the toys and they had a couple of mens sets but not too many.0
