Hands down the co-op is where I get most of my yellow stickers. Occasionally get some decent stuff in Asda, rarely in tescos (but I don't go there often as I hate it).

Over the last week I went to an Asda and got:

    2 packs frying steak - 90p each
    Spicy chicken wings - 40p
3 X packets of finest chargrilled chicken slices - 40p each
    Breakfast pack - 40p

My mums co-op rocks, there isn't one beside me, she lives in a small village so they always have loads left over. You are guarenteed to ALWAYS get a reduced loaf. Milk is normally always stickered and always some selection of meats.

About 8pm is when I normally go over as that's when everything is being reduced to the magic 10 or 20p :D Yesterday I got:

3 packets of mince - 80p (bought this before it went further, incase someone took it lol)
    4 pints milk - 30p
    4 doughtnuts - 10p
    Steak pie - 20p
    Lamb chops - 10p
    2 x packets of 2 chicken breasts - 50p each
    Jewelled sponge pudding - 30p
    Tub of mushrooms - 20p
    Coleslaw - 10p

My freezer is bursting with food, the reason I spend so much is - COKE ZERO and other assortment of junk food I like to graze on....ahem, less of that in 2013....

Some of those bargains looks great, i do like the co-op as i normally take one of my kids with me and we do the co-op hunt. We have 6 co-ops and 2 tesco express within a very short driving distance and all in a circle back home again so i can jusify the petrol as long as we pick up at least a couple of bargains. Have finally makaged to empty a freezer so i'll give it another week or so and i can go hunting again!

Hot and Spicy chicken fillets £3.00 i paid £1.20
Its the first time ive ever done whoopsied/reduced food shopping.
I now have a freezer and fridge full and instead of sticking to a meal plan ive decided to replace what ive used with more reduced items if i can. Ive written my freezer and fridge contents on a list and will tick off what ive used.

    Hi,

What I have been doing for the last year is buying reduced meat from mid to the end of the month (approximately 20 meals) and then meal planning around what I have. I then start again the following month. I haven't paid full price for any meat/chicken/fish products during 2012 and hope to continue during 2013.. I meal plan every month and move it about depending on quantities needed/ OH out etc.

I then do a big (ish) shop online at the beginning of a month for dry goods/toiletries/cleaning/pet food etc and then top up weekly on bread/milk/veg etc.

I'm not loyal to any of the stores and will visit any when in the area to search out a bargain! :)

    I love a whoopsie.

    xx

  • Hi Puzzcat, this is what im going to try to do. I find that normally meat/fish etc isnt reduced by that much when i get to it. It only seems over the past few weeks because of xmas and new year that ive managed to find good bargains.
