I'm sorry I'm being rubbish at the moment, back to work next month so should be able to post more regularly then.
Ebay numpties out in force for us tooLoads of non payers, DH and I have both had a couple of neutrals in the last month (unfair ones). I've got someone who wants a full refund without returning (no chance!) and I had to refund an INR even though I think it was just delayed (or they were trying it on
)
I know things are tight, so don't worry if your DF status wobbles a little bit, you've done so well to pay off everything, and you've done all the hard work.
Don't scuttle off to the MFW board without telling meI'll try and be a better friend

Jwil!!!! Lovely to see you again - you have been missedI was going to post on my thread yesterday but once again have been / am ill
Yes i'm a tad frustrated with the amount of non payers i've had but i'm finding the fees hard too - i may have to just not list 99p things any moreGrr! To people leaving silly feedback. I had someone with very little history leave feedback about the slowness of postage - this was when i didn't have my car, explained this to them and still posted it within the timeframe i agree too
Good that you get christmas off work :T Are you going back part-time ?

Morning All,
I am feeling a little better today and did manage to cover about 5 hours study yesterday. I am feeling a little overwhelmed and behind on this as i should have been studying solidly the last 2 days but illness and other events conspired against meI've done a bit already today and will be spending today doing this as well as popping in here for a break as i am now
i want to buy a set of books - it'll cost £30  which tbh for 6 books is perfectly fine as i do love a good book- the problem is i won't be able to read these for 6 months as i don't have time to read anything else whilst studying... what to do
Had fab service off the bay of e after i messed up on somethingSo that was really good. And of course after posting all parcels yesterday the last 1 has paid today
I spent too much on food shopping - again - not sure how to reduce this - £5 was on an xmas gift, £6.50 was on xmas food (cake and biscuits and sweets) Worryingly, i spent all this money and did not buy any meat  or fish
Although i'd love a turkey crownbeing realistic i will buy the much cheaper and delicious turkey joint instead
Couldn't afford it yesterday and then couldn't have fit it in my freezer anyway so i'm going to have to start lifting out and cooking some of the things in there so will have a scout around for some recipes  1 of the things in there is a huge turkey leg - now i know i could use this at xmas but a) its taking up too much room and b) being fair to myself i think would take more preparation and messing about than the joint will so i intend to cook that this week - never cooked 1 before - any suggestions?
I'm pleased to say though after playing freezer jenga yesterday that i have: - a beautiful joint of beef, 1 brisket of beef - again not sure what to do?, chicken breast pieces x 2 (1 large, 1 small), cheese (must make pie), a huge shoulder (i think its shoulder) of pork, a big gammon joint, a small rack of lamb. 2 packs of minced beef, 6 pieces of fish - already marinated, 4 x beef / beef steak cubed, a steak, 8 burgers, 4 stuffed chicken thighs, 8 sausages, and the turkey leg - this is only over 2 drawers so not sure whats in the other 2 drawers although i think i have 2 shoulders of lamb as well as 2 lamb shanks and 3 lots of chicken breast about 400g each
Any recipe suggestions greatfully received. With the meat i always buy it on offer or reducedi have quite a lot as for the first time in months i managed to pick up some reduced meat a couple of weeks ago
Right back to the books - hope all are well xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hi DDFW
Although you are as busy as ever, there is a sense of calm in the post that the urgency to pay debts isn't there and it is about "normal" MSE to keep the status quo. That's nice to read.
I would resist temptation and not buy the books now. They may be £20 in six months' time!
Blimey, you have a lot crammed in the freezer. I'm not a good source of recipes. I get home from work late and tend to eat simple food on an evening. I was just thinking today that I have got out of the habit of proper cooking and baking. Something to get back to next year.
Good luck with the studying!Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Blimey that's a feast and a half!! We have started making list of what's in the freezer and meal planning and we are finding that the meat lasts for ages. We haven't bought any in yonks. I think that list would last us for around 6 weeks :rotfl:
Meatballs from the mince, Sunday roast with the shoulder, cook the gammon in cherry coke for Boxing Day ( it is lush!! ) all spring to mind...can send you recipeeps if that helps

Hey Chocs - aw thank you i am glad the change in focus is coming across - i do think its good to have a goal but not the amount of pressure i had which really affected me in lots of ways - i could even see the stress in my face - lets hope thats easing up now too
I agree with you on the books - its what was putting me off too - thinking they'd be cheaper later on
Getting back into cooking and baking sounds a great idea - we could share recipes and ideas it'll be like a virtual dinner party  i find cooking and baking really enjoyable - not just the end productbut the putting it all together following the recipe occasionally being brave enough to add my own twist to it
I have to say though i have put a recipe together today in the slow cooker and the 10 mins prep time was an hour for me  I wonder of the time means i should have everything washed and chopped and ground etc. beforehand or maybe i need to speed up a bit
how are things with you chocs? Any xmas plans? xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Hi brizzle - yep this should last us quite a while - if you've got the recipe for gammon in cherry coke i'd appreciate it as that sounds fab :T Is it the gammon as opposed to the shoulder of pork ?
