    Morning everyone!
I managed to get quite a bit on my list done yesterday.
I also managed to wash the rug in the living room and that dried on the line, and put all the beetroot that I cooked off (my 50p from the market bag) into a big jar to store :j
Really pleased with that as I sometimes buy these cheap things planning to do something with it and then don't...but not this time, hooray!

I am just making the CD to take into the gym for my cover instructor on Saturday at the moment. Glad I got up at 7 to start getting things ready.
Charity bags are now both filled (I did an extra one) and waiting to be collected outside.

At the gym where I haven't been paid yet today so I will hopefully sort that out too.

    See you all later :)

    Hello all,

Got the afternoon off so going to take the dog for a long walk but also need to do a few things before/after.

Hubby's been talking about switching broadband to BT and Quidco have a fab cashback offer on at the mo, so that's top on the list of things to do. done :)

Also need to book spa day with friend, already bought the voucher. oops! forgot :(

House needs vaccing top to bottom - 5 cats and a visiting dog is taking it's toll. too tired after long dog walk! ;)

Sort out freezer as it's jammed packed full but with what I have no idea! it's full of garlic bread and bolognaise it would seem:rotfl:

Also want to update Harley's blog but need to upload pics onto laptop first. put photos on my laptop at least!

    Happy stepping xxx

We were all worn out after the 3hr dog walk (well stroll really, too hot for any exhertion!) and even strong coffee didn't perk us up! Everything seemed such an effort yesterday evening :D

    Tonight I need to:
    - iron
    - make lunches and tea (darn, I've not got anything out to defrost..)
    - vac the house
    - watch The Apprentice

    happy stepping x

So I've finally written my long list of everything currently plaguing me. Thing after thing has been added on a daily basis, it's been awful.

My list, for future reference, is:

Rental house repair quotes and get repair done (new problem this week!)
Rental house landlord course - about 25% complete. It is all online.
Arrange to get my windscreen chip repaired (new problem this week) - £10 excess paid and arranged for next Wednesday.
Royal Mail lost item claim - bf sent to get form
Cash cheque from Clothes for Cash - bf sent
Return an item I was sent two of - again, bf sent to Post Office with this
Order prescription sunglasses and normal glasses
Arrange to go do my CRB forms for volunteering
    Get mortgage overdraft total
Rearrange rental property income and amend standing orders and DD
Fix the massive gaping hole in our living room wall, ASAP before the landlord pops over again (new problem this week)
Organise all the different e-savings accounts/pots for the million and 1 things I need to put money towards - I've written a list of what I need, now to just open them all.
Go to my Dad's and collect more clothes for Clothes For Cash - I'm earmarking Saturday morning for this. I'll go ahead and order my bag from them now. - Pack ordered

Tonight is date night so all I'll be doing is maybe digging out my online banking information for the mortgage overdraft.

  • Hi everyone,

Late response for me, I meant to post more positive steps sooner but am working two jobs at the moment so spend most of my time cream crackered!! Anyway, tomorrow afternoon I am off work which gives me time to recover before going to work in the evening; also my partner is off to a motorbike event for the weekend so in a way it will be nice to have some time for myself to take stock of things :)

Sooooo, the positive steps I can think of at the moment are:

    1. Send my latest credit card letters on to CAP Money - Barclaycard & Natwest are asking why they haven't been paid.
    2. Contact CAP Money to see why they haven't responded to my last few emails & phone call - maybe they've got fed up of my moans & groans and gone down the pub?! Couldn't blame them.....
    3. Buy (as cheaply as possible, using store points & a voucher I got for Christmas) more sun cream, some hair dye & a new diary, as mine is an academic year one.
    4. Go through the fridge & freezer and make a proper list of what I have, what I need to buy and what to cook for the week ahead. I hate cooking, but it needs to be done :(
    5. Get all my stuff ready for work next week - I do feel better when all the washing, ironing etc is sorted.
    6. Clean the flat - I'm not running at the moment due to the heat, so could do with the exercise!!
    7. Work on my self esteem. Sorry if that sounds very 'me me me' but I think part of the reason I overspend AND could do with losing a bit of weight is that I honestly don't think much of myself and hence never take the time and trouble to do things properly. I want to have a good think about what I can do to change that, whether it's physical (running, yoga etc) or mental.

Phew! It's a relief to get all that down properly..... Night all and good luck with your positive steps for the lovely sunny weekend!!
Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j

I have been doing very little over this past week, other than meeting up with friends. Everything seems like so much effort in this heat and I have a pile of Ironing to do but can't face putting the Iron on!!

I have booked a short break for me and OH at the end of the month. This is OHs main holiday so he is off for 2 weeks. We are going away for 6 nights, initially to Fort William where we are booked to go onto the 'Harry Potter' train on the Sunday. I have always wanted to do this train journey as it goes across the Glenfinnan viaduct. We are then heading over to Skye for a few nights. I am really looking forward to it.

    My plans for tomorrow:
Reschedule dentist (been needing to do this for about a month!!) - done finally - new apt on Aug 24th.
Letter to bank to cancel overdraft - done and handed into bank
Letter to curves to cancel membership - done and posted
    Swim - done 30 lengths.
Yoga session - not going to happen.
  • Most of today will be taken up with travelling to and the attending a Buddhist meeting. Other than that I plan to have a swim this evening - hoping to do 40 lengths this time.

I have been getting little done apart from bootsales this week - feel like i have been to about 20 when its only been 4 LOL but my house is a tip and i'm glad to have a break now for a few days!

This afternoon i want to tidy up downstairs even if that means just taking stuff upstairs to the spare room. - Started!

    I'd like to also:

    change bed
    tidy bedroom
    blog updates - done :)
sort out some more job lots to list on ebay
parcel up ebay sales ready to post tomorrow
sort through the remaining boxes in spare room.
    unpack car - started
list summer stuff on ebay and facebook - 4 things added :)

Thats probably about a weeks work of work really but will see how i get on :)

Allie you will have to tell me all about the Buddhist meeting - sounds fascinating :)
