    Morning all,

Bedside cabinet tidied finally! How long it stays tidy is another matter...

Not too much planned for today. Need to do washing tonight so it's ready to hang out in the morning. Also just the usual cook tea, make lunches etc.
  • Well done his missus, sounds like you're having a productive day... Hope you're managing to enjoy some sunshine too!!

The Natwest letter is sent - one thing I am now worrying about is whether creditors can/ might come back to say they WON'T accept a reduced payment - I guess it's possible but is it likely?! If they do say that, what would I do next? :(
Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j

    Hi everyone,

Well, apart from the gym, I achieved everything. My gym membership expires on Monday so instead of using it as much as possible...I've stopped. Oops.

I'm feeling very overwhelmed with Things at the moment, so some easier ones for me today:

Check bank account & transfer petrol money - done
    Start a list of Things
Walk boyfriend to the train station tonight (let's not kid anyone, I won't be going to the gym)
Ring my Dad and arrange a meal out next weekend in the hopes that he'll come and provide some garden advice
Actually stick to WW today. I've even allocated some points for chocolate tonight so I should be okay with this one. Monday night I ate a whole big bar of fruit and nut chocolate, Tuesday night it was an Oreo bar, last night it was just 9 squares of Oero chocolate plus a large bag of kettle crisps. Ahem...

Please list the barriers, so we may offer suggestions on how to get over, go under, run through, destroy those barriers :D

We're fighting the same demons - welcome to the club :o It is beatable though, and in my opinion, its a change in mindset rather than pills (they made me worse)

Oh GOSH no I don't take the pills, I am all for alternative therapy, that's why I became a fitness instructor, my health has improved SO much! I want to help other people achieve this too!
As much natural light as possible also helps.

    Barriers:
-PPL licencing costs have increased as of May 2013 and are set to rise each year
-Pay cuts many gyms are cutting pay because of the above which makes it harder for freelancers to make money
-With all the recent cuts to local services many gyms that are council run will not take on new classes or more hours from instructors even though this would benefit the gym overall by having a more varied timetable of classes

    Morning all,

Had a letter from Natwest today about my credit card with them, definitely less encouraging than MBNA :( they will accept reduced payments for 12 months and then review after that, but will be sending the default notices out soon and will register it with credit reference agencies. I'm just finding this so scary to face up to, does that make me a complete wimp? The (very nice) people at CAP Money explained that this would probably happen and that there's no way round it really, but it's better to accept that it will affect your credit file with a DMP than affecting it with an inability to pay anything at all. I'm hoping that's true.....

So, my positive step for today will be to try to stop panicking, ring CAP if necessary and take stock of where I'm up to. I can't think that I'm up to much else at the moment!

Don't panic, don't panic! Your credit history doesn't stay with you forever and you can rebuild it once you are in a better place finacially.
This is the best thing for you right now

Now, if you know a 40-something single female, who could bring me my first cup of water of the day, then you can talk...

I say water because one of my new rules is to not start the day with a coffee (or tea for that matter). In fact, no coffee for the first two hours upon waking, and so far, I've stuck with it (mind you, I only made up the new rule this morning, so blar)

    :T

Yes agreed, I do love my morning cuppa but I always have a shot of my aloe vera juice and a pint of water before I have my tea. Caffine dehydrates and you wake up dehydrated so that;s definitely the right way to start the day :D

Hiiiiii, I think its great that you are going for a walk if you aren't going to use the gym and it expires on Monday anyway. Just try and fit in lots of manageable free exercise instead like you have done today. A brisk walk is a great way of burning calories, especially if you are walking at a fast paste for 30mins or more :D

Some of them might BUT dont panic if they do - i had 1 of mine say they wouldn't accept it, but as i was making the payments via the DMP nothing else happened - i think its a tactic to try and get you to pay them more :(

Everything achieved yesterday! The walk to the station ended up being 2 miles/40 minutes so I'm very happy with that. I decided I'll be nice and walk him tonight too! It's worth it for the extra activity points.

Still feeling overwhelmed so today's "easy list":

Finish list of things to do/plaguing my mind

    Organise washing piles

    Walk to the station

2 x things plaguing me from the list of Things.

Oh and I weighed in, 3lbs off this week! Not entirely a week, since Monday, because I want to weigh in on Fridays and I really couldn't manage waiting another week!
