fairyclicks wrote: »Paul - so sorry to hear about the divorce proceedings - this might sound really obvious but have you said you don't want to get divorced? and asked your wife what it would take to sort things out? Or even suggested counselling? i know that can be helpful regardless of the outcomes.
fairyclicks, I've done nothing else but tell her I love her, but that might have been the problem...I was stuck in limbo, and not moving on.
I'm going to draw a line under my marriage, accept the divorce and move on. Maybe then, once the dust has settled, maybe then, we can rebuild our friendship.
OMG, how hot was it the weekend. I was stuck in a small bedroom, laptop and multiple external hard-drives all over-heating, and threatening to melt.
And I'm still not done - I've been re-organising my laptop files in order to streamline my eBay process - and I'm about 60% done, please, if anyone knows a rain dance, DANCE!

Pampering done, kitty can jump off the fence, bedside cabinet still like a game of jenga with toiletries and make-up instead of bricks! :rotfl:
Tonight: make lunches & tea, bit of ironing and tidy bedside cabinet.0 -
Hi everyone, an unexpected weekend without internet access for me otherwise I would have said thank you to you all sooner!! It is encouraging knowing that I'm not on my own
Now the DMP has been set up I'm dreading the letters (slightly) less - I know they will be difficult but hopefully not as bad as wondering how to juggle everything. I haven't yet started paying into a savings pot but then I am only on week 1 and had so many small things to pay for that I hadn't got round to as I was paying all the credit cards - today's expense is car brakes (£80). I had a letter from MBNA saying that they would accept my reduced payment and put my interest fees down to 0% for now - hurrah!!
So today's positive step is to contact CAP Money if I haven't heard from them soon and clarify who they have heard from and what I need to do, as I'm not sure if my creditors are writing to them, me or both. I'm hoping that soon I will have the encouragement to think of more than one positive step! Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -

Fairy clicks I haven't done much over the past couple of days either. I have had two lovely days sitting in my garden and enjoying the sun... and I hope to do the same for the rest of the week:D:D.0
