Hi everyone,
I'm back, and I'm (grumpily) packing for my imminent move to the caravan..... not enough hours in the day really to get everything done. I wanted to give it a good clean before I moved in, but between work being v busy and sorting out lots of stuff before the move, I haven't had chance. The estate agents are cheekily hitting me with more fees before I move which I am not a happy bunny about, but would rather get out and get my deposit back before arguing with them!
Minniemousesmummy - well done on your very thorough lists, and I hope you are ok after your tests?
Hummingbird - well done on registering with Stepchange - it is a big scary decision but I haven't regretted taking out my DMP. I was like you and couldn't manage all my debt repayments, I used to dread every letter from the bank as I knew I couldn't cope. It wasn't an easy choice to make but for me it has given me peace of mind; I hope Stepchange help you with whatever you decide to do.
Fairy - glad to hear you are feeling more positive! I am relatively positive till I face the dreaded packing.....
Well everyone, my other news is that the old & unreliable car is going, my OH has bought a new one for work and is letting me drive it; he has a 4x4 already but wanted something smaller and more economical for his shorter journeys. I am very very grateful for this but astonishingly am sad to see my car go!! We're using it as a part exchange, never thought I'd be sad to see the back of it but it's been through a lot with me - I got it when I was splitting up with my husband and it's been a constant in the last 9 years as I've moved between places, changed jobs, got together and split up with two partners, etc. Sniff! I think because I'm moving too, it's just too much change for my mind to cope with.....
Oh and next year (once I have FINALLY moved) will be the year of shifting some lb's - not sure I'm ready to return to Fat Fighters but I will definitely be back at the gym!!
Speak to you all again soonxxx
Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -
Hi all! Very quiet on here - are we all getting ready to positive step over Christmas?!
I'm in the last panicky few days before I have to leave my flat; the majority of stuff is moved, the YMCA are due to come round & collect some bits of furniture for their charity shop here, but I still have all the cleaning to dothink tomorrow night and Wednesday night will be spent in Marigolds.....

I should have done it a long time ago, I don't know why I didn't - I've always tried to soldier on.......too independent for my own good.
I know exactly how you feel and I am in the same boat. Well done you have inspired me to get this sorted out :TDon't turn a slip up into a give up

-wrap presents I need to distribute tonight
-make 3 Christmas caresactually made 5
-Write christening card ready for tomorrow
-shower
-book taxi
-Fill jars for 2 Christmas gifts
-clear the spare bed (again)
