I'm back at school now so it's little steps until the weekend. I probably won't make it online everyday but I am keeping a record in my diary of what I want to get done and what I do get done. It's working so far...ish! But I often set too much of a challenge for myself and I always have jobs I miss!*2014 £365/365days - £52/£365* *20p Savers club #17 £12.00/£50*

Thanks Ruby. I often feel like I haven't got much done when I take such baby steps. Today has been more productive than I expected at work so I've got more chance of getting an early night tonight, and I'm at OHs where I always manage to doze off easier :-)
So tonight's jobs:
-List nursery rhymes and songs that could be used this term
-Eat tasty pasta cooked by OH
-Shower
-plan for phonics groups
-Update diary
-organise school notes diary*2014 £365/365days - £52/£365* *20p Savers club #17 £12.00/£50*

Hi Giggles, did you manage to sleep ok?
I'm sleeping really badly at the moment - usually I'm out like a light, but for the past week or so I'm waking all the time. Probably the stress of going back to work!
The smoking situation at home is really getting to me again as well; I feel like I'm confined to the bedroom (with the door shut!) most of the time, as even when they're not smoking downstairs it still stinks of smoke. My OH is on a real health kick for the new year - no alcohol, caffeine or dairy, lots of exercise - but apparently doesn't see the contradiction of smoking in the evenings with the lodger. Grrrrrr. I think he thinks it doesn't count if he's not actually buying any himself.....Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -
Well, I currently have £15 left to last me the rest of January - pah. I'm owed £100 in refunds from various places (council tax, water, electricity) so am busy chasing those up; plus when I get my deposit back from the old flat all will be well. Unfortunately it's still a 'when' at the moment - I finally received the inventory from the estate agent yesterday with forms for me to complete to say whether I agree with what they're charging me, but no details of what that is! I contacted them today only to be told I'd have to chase my landlord. What exactly do they do for their money again?!
Currently on hold for Scottish Power so they can explain my final bill. 16 tedious minutes later I'm still no nearer the front of the queue.....Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -
Hope you got through to a human being eventually Ruby. I've had one Really good night this week thanks but I've now inherited germs from somewhere so woke up several times last night feeling like someone was dragging a rasp across my throat. Slightly improved for now but I'm tucked up in bed after an exciting day. Might be on our local news tomorrow evening which was a surprise discovery ths evening!*2014 £365/365days - £52/£365* *20p Savers club #17 £12.00/£50*

Today i have the day off from college as my tutor isn't in.
I just did a spot of tidying and have come up with some ideas on what to write about for the tasks that were set for today. I just have to transfer these ideas into assignment format (lol)

Giggles - you can play the flute and the piano? I'm very impressed, would love to be able to play either!
Sorry, it's another smoking moan from me today..... the lodger was away fishing for the weekend, OH & I went to out today and had a lovely day. He went into the house literally 5 minutes before me when we got back - I went to the little local Tesco for some bits - and when I came back he was already smoking with the lodger and guess what, the house stank. I just put the shopping down and went straight upstairs to shut myself in the bedroom - need to have some dinner and do the ironing, but there's no point at the moment, anything I iron down there will stink too.
Thinking about it, I guess the times it's worst are the times I wasn't here before (usually early evenings) but that doesn't help me in knowing what to say about it; I honestly wouldn't have moved in if I'd known it was this bad. The rent on my flat was a bit crippling but at least I could use all of it!!
Sorry, rant over, just needed to get that off my chest - it really upset me when I got in earlier, and I still haven't moved from the bedroom. I will try to think of something constructive to do about the situation...Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -
Hi all,
My steps for today are:
Send off more letters to creditors for token payment (3 accepted) DONE
Send proof of redundancy to Vanquis DONE
Post ebay parcel to Greece  DONE
Have another look at budget after recent trimming down DONE
Organise another Stepchange appointment to update on changes DONE
Pack to visit my Dad DONE
Ruby I'm still thinking of you regarding this smoke thing. It's a horrible situation to be in, would it be possible to sit down with them and explain exactly why it's a problem and come to some arrangement - ( like they only smoke in one room which isn't the lounge!!) Or they have to go outside. After all they are putting your health at risk but they probably don't realise that. When I spent loads of time with my smoking friends I ended up with an intolerance to smoke. Now the tiniest hint of it makes me start coughing, even if I sit next to someone on the bus who smokes, or a smoker comes into a room - they don't even have to be smoking at the time. So look after yourself hun xxxx£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[
