Hmmm a list of 13 things for today...and I've only moved so far to make a cuppa!

    -Put away washing
    -Clear floor
    -Wii fit
    -Start planning for next week
    -Buy small boxes
    -Create folder for groups
    -watch 2 more DVDs
    -1/2 hour reading
    -list books and DVDs
    -1/2 hour flute/piano
    -Laundry load
    -adpoints
    -Swagbucks
    -find funny bones book

I have to admit that Saturday wasn't overly productive. I did lots of bits of jobs but in between my mum kept asking me to do things so while I did loads, I didn't really do what I'd planned. As a result I finished some things off yesterday. This included putting the bedding I'd washed over the clothes horse...I can't lie...I couldn't resist the urge to sit in my accidentally created 'fort' to read for half an hour after work this evening!!

  • Hi Giggles, hope you had a creative time in your fort!!

I've been playing badminton again tonight - not the cheapest activity, but not too bad when shared between two or three of you. Aaarrrgghhh. Still two and a bit weeks till payday for me.....

Hummingbird, my OH did say he'd have a word with the lodger and ask him to smoke outside, but I don't think he's done it yet. It's so annoying as I should be saving loads of money now I'm not paying rent & bills any more, but I'm still waiting for refunds from the flat (including the deposit) and am actually still quite skint as I can't cook/ prepare food at home any more - it's too smoky in the kitchen! I know I will look like the unreasonable person in this situation, but I don't think I am being - as you say, it affects your health as well, I'm not just objecting for the sake of it.

Hmmmm. So what can I have for lunch tomorrow that will last me for two meals?! I've taken to buying a big sandwich at lunch time (£3) and having it for lunch and dinner, half and half, may have to keep doing that for the foreseeable future!

Hi everyone, I've just found this thread and I'm SO excited! I always used to make a list of things to be done the next day, I found it really helped my depression to have a focus. I'm not too sure I'll remember to log on and list what I've managed, but I'll give it a good go!

    So today -

    - pruned back the ivy on our neighbours wall
    - finished tidying the bedroom/craft room and made 2 cards
    - put away clean washing

Tomorrow I'm hoping to get a pair of shoes repaired then take them to a charity shop when fixed and wearable again!

Happy stepping everyone, so glad I've found you all!! (bother, why won't my smilies work? Oh well, :D)

  • Hi *Wilson*, nice to (virtually) meet you!

My positive steps this week start with changing my address on everything that I can find..... sigh. I only moved house this time last year, so it's dispiriting to do it all over again. Plus I think I will need to do a new budget for my DMP, and I can see a stack of work looming with that, so have been avoiding it so far.....

How is everyone else? Fairy - haven't heard from you for a while?

Nice to meet you too, Giggles and Rubyslippers!

You've probably noticed I'm something of a night owl, I do pop up in daylight hours sometimes, honest! This can make my daily to do lists a bit of a challenge. I didn't get my shoes fixed today, but I did get to the supermarket, AND helped a friend complete her tax return, so I'm feeling quite chuffed anyway!

I've been thinking about challenges for 2014. I managed to finally pay off my credit card debt 3 years ago, so what I really want to do is build up some savings now. I've not been able to work for several years now, so this year my aims are:

    - look into possible part time work
    - try to draw up a budget that allows me to save a little each month
    - keep up the exercising, and build on it
    - take better care of my teeth! My dentist is lovely, but I'm not prepared to keep paying £25 for a scale and polish, grumble!

Keep going everyone, it really helps to know you're here!!

  • Fairy looks like she must be super busy at the moment. Just been onto her bl0g and she's been busy stepping on there by the looks of things.

  • I hope everyone is ok and looking forward to the weekend?

The estate agency finally paid my deposit back on Thursday. Hurrah! Into the wrong bank account - oh..... they paid it to the account it originally came out of, but since then I'd set up the DMP and all payments came from the new Santander account (which they were aware of). As the old account is shut down the payment bounced back the same day, but now I have to wait for them to receive/ find it and send it to the right account :(

January skintness. You can't beat it, can you?!
