[STRIKE]Sun - roast pork (lo from 2 weeks ago, from freezer), roast spuds, carrots, sprouts. Apple pie that was hiding an icecream tub, with the ice cream that we were actually planning to have for dessert. I love my grans baking![/STRIKE]
Mon - HM curry to try to burn through my cold
Tue - something with bacon, leeks and mushrooms. I'd like to do some sort of suet pudding but I don't think I'll have the time so more likely to be a hot-pot type thing.
Wed - HM pizza
Thur - lasagne
Fri / Sat - away for the weekend so going to be eating out. Have saved all of Feb's eating out budget to cover the cost!
Grocery budget is all spent for Feb so need to make sure I stick to plan this week so I don't go off buying extras.0 -
A moneysaving change to tonights meal. We have enough potatoes, chicken and stuffing left for tea tonight, so we are having chicken and chips. The sausages we were going to have will remain in the freezer for another day.

Bit of background ~ I'm following SW and do mostly green days, have meat/fish once or twice a week. Trying to give this up too. DD only eats Tuna no other fish and the rest is veggie substitutes, as she has recently given up meat of her own accord but is fussy ( dislikes egg, mince ( though yet to try Quorn mince) and cheese unless on pizza!
So far this week i have had :
Mon ~ Me : Singapore noodles and prawns DD: Pizza, actifry chips and peas
Tues: (SC) Gumbo and rice with kidney beans and peas
DD: Tuna and pasta (HM) with raw carrot
Weds : ME : Pasta, pesto and philli with roasted veg and salad
DD : Quorn hotdogs (fr), raw carrot and onion rings (fr)
Tonight : ME : Quorn Thai mince (Quorn from fr) with beansprouts/savoy cabbage/spring onions and mushrooms
DD : Beans on toast
Friday : ME :Jamaican chicken (SC) - subject to change as have no allspice/cloves - so might be sticky Jerk chicken, with sweet jacket potato or rice with corn on the cob
DD : Forgot what she was having and remembered it's Quorn chicken pieces (fr) with satay dip (HM), wedges (HM) and poss baby corn (fr)
Saturday : ME : Quorn Sausages (fr), cheese and chive mash (L/o in fr) with brocolli and green beans (fr)
DD : Same without green beans and just plain mash
Sunday : Me and DD : Roast dinner (but substitute for chicken for DD)GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £85.95/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Thanks Winnie, been lurking for a while. I do normally meal plan but will hopefully do it moreso now.
Just edited above post to detail what's come out of freezer etc, and because i remembered what DD was having on the meal that had escaped me.

Stuck to plan tonight, the Jamaican chicken went ahead as i found some mixed spice in the baking cupboard which i was slow to realise was the same as all spice. one of the nicest things I've tried in a while. Served with green beans and corn on the cob, with sweet potato wedges. So the only change to tomorrow will be carrots instead of green beans. Sundays veg i will have to have a think about probably cauli and sprouts.
Night all.
Editing to say stuck to plan tonight - Quorn sausages done as planned. Will have some sort of plan to upload tomorrow for next week most probably,GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £85.95/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
