    This week's plan:

    [STRIKE]Sun - Roast Pork[/STRIKE]
Mon - Bubble & squeak & leftovers for OH, I'm out with my ma
Tue - Something with pork steaks. May involve pancakes or might just keep those for dessert
    Wed - Stir fry
Thur - provisionally sausage, egg, chips & beans but might treat OH to something special as its valentines and he should finish decorating the lounge by Weds
Fri - pizza, or maybe the sausages if we have a treat on Thurs
    Sat - curry (or pizza)

I couldn't face working out the veg requirements over the weekend so just picked up essentials from a$da with a plan to go to a!di tonight for veggies. Sat thinking what I needed over breakfast this morning and I think what we have in will stretch to cover the week - certainly through to Friday so hopefully the only thing on my grocery list for this week is potatoes (plus OH's special treat dinner, if I can decide what to treat him to!)

S*ds law says this is the week I run out of non-food groceries and have to go to the SM anyway, although I'm pretty well stocked on all the ones I can think of.

Anyone mind a little one? I used to meal plan but moved jobs, moved house and need to start back up again.

Cooking for two, but only main meals and one for lunches. Try to be vegi one day a week and use LO's at least one day. Most everything is cook from scratch or hm unless otherwise stated.

    Today had roast chicken so:

Sun - chicken fajitas with roast peppers, carrot sticks, pakchoi, and a tomato and either paprika or chilli sauce ( will decide when making it)

Mon - chicken and chilli pasta bake with ( frozen) mixed veg ( will also do lunches for a couple of days)

Tues- [strike]beef pie and mash and carrots/ cabbage.[/strike] the chicken is going further than expected so this will be chicken sweet and sour and chicken soup for lunches.

Wed - [strike] Quiche, beans and ( bought) coleslaw[/strike] beef pie

Thurs- jacket pots with a range of filling ( vegi day)

Fri - (bought) fish fingers and hm wedges, sweet corn

Sat - roast gammon (leftovers for next week)
One of the hardest of all life lessons is this:

Just because I feel bad doesn’t necessarily mean someone else is doing something wrong.

Just because I feel good doesn’t necessarily mean what I am doing is right.

I've only just started meal planning...i'm only cooking for one so the portions tend to do me for 2 days hence the repition :o

    sat-cottage pie with veg
    sun-cottage pie with veg
    mon-chilli con carne
    tues-chilli con carne
wed-spag bol (freeze half for sunday)
    thurs-chicken korma (bf is here)
fri-chicen stir fry (bf is here)
    sat-pasta bake (bf is here)
    sun-spag bol

You could always freeze half, so you don't have to have the same dinner two nights running
The opposite of what you know...is also true

Meals plan done for the next couple of weeks. As it is half term, I am planning on spending a day cooking for the freezer. The plan is to make: two cheese and onion pies, two lasagnes, two sausage casseroles and some fishcakes.

I'm off to the farm shop later in the week to buy the meat. Will also stock up on sausages for toad in the hole.

It's pay day during the week and I will have money left to save. This is all down to meal planning AND shopping from a list based on my meal plan. There is no going back to old ways now.

    Have a great week.

photocopied and laminated a week planner so should have no excuse as its pinned up in kitchen and bought wipe clean marker

mon - beef casserole (pre made so in slow cooker)
tue - sausage meatballs and pasta
    weds - curry and rice
    thurs - lasagne and wedges
    fri- veg chilli and rice
    sat - omlette
    sun - chicken dinner

I saw on pin intrest this lady who prepares her meals in advance and freezes, so ive spent a morning digging through freezer and creating meals i can just pop in slow cooker in those cook in the bag things, as bought some ages ago,
so passata went a long way lol
ive made pork in tom and onions
    chicken curry
    chicken casserole
tandorri chicken, so all ingredients chopped and prepared then shared between bags, marinate etc, bags labelled and then everything frozen ready for popping in slow cooker as i walk out of door then just the rice etc to do on the night.
