F 4th Chicken Noodles with stir-fry veg & prawn crackers.
S 5th Tapas - Planning on cooking a meal for me and my OH as its his birthday this week. Lots of little dishes including: Patas Bravas, Chicken & Chorizo stew, Chicken Rice, Spanish Meatballs, Salad, Pitta bread, Fish Cakes and Ham & Potato Croquettes. Most of the stuff for this meal is in the freezer already (apart from salad stuff).
M 7th Chicken Curry, Pilau rice & poppadums. You guessed it already in the [STRIKE]tardis[/STRIKE] *cough freezer! Last week when we had friends round there was a portion of curry that went in the freezer, OH can have that and I'll do him a fresh portion of rice. The time before that when we had friends round for a curry, there were two smaller portions of curry & rice frozen for me, I'll have one of those, and an easy night :rotfl:
T 8th Spag Bol, Bol is... heck there's a lot from the freezer this week :T also my WI day, so try to have pasta on a Tuesday as himself can usually remember to put the pot on the stove
W 9th Sausage Casserole, Crispy potatoes, green beans & spinach. Sausages from yep the freezer  Crispy potatoes currently in Asda's freezers until I buy them :rotfl:
T 10th Jerk Chicken with rice/peas/spring onion.
Well that's another week planned, and no more scratching my head trying to work out what the heck to cook when I get in. My mission, (quite clearly from this weeks plan) is to try and make some space in the Freezer :rotfl: Have a good week guys0 -
Had to change my plan today as my brother arrived earlier than expected so I used the chicken for tomorrow's dinner to make a curry. He'll be here tomorrow to so I'll have to plan something a bit 'meatier' - maybe move the chili I was planning a day forward.Trying to keep in budget.

You could make a tortilla/omelette which is perfect to take anywhere.
When i am being good I make one to take to work for breakfast with lean bacon, mushrooms, grated courgettes and tomatoes, lots of eggs with a little cheese on the top.
Cut into portions and wrap in cling film and pop in the fridge. Grab one on your way out of the door!
fab idea - and cooked! although I only have peppers and spring onions and some oldish parma ham/gruyere, so that's gone in with 10 eggs that needed using up - It's going to last me days - it's HUGE!:AA/give up smoking (done)0 -
Tonight - beef stew, dumplings and left over mash - i have loads of veg to use up so im just going to throw everything in and hope for the best. im using the beef stew recipe off netmums which I have used before and its lovely.
friday - slow cooked pork chops with roast potatoes - i have 8 frozen pork steaks so I'll use 4 of them. I also have a red cabbage to use so i might do braised cabbage and apple.
saturday - gammon mash glazed carrots and parsley sauce. Im going to use the slow cooker for my gammon with pineapple juice.
sunday - hubby cooks but im doing a lemon cheesecake
monday - sausages with mustard mash and onion gravy - i will use some sausages i have in the freezer
tuesday - whole chicken with roasted root veg and gravy - again im using the slow cooker
wednesday - chicken and mushroom fried rice with bbq ribs - using leftover chicken and bbq ribs left from christmas
thursday - budget spag bol with garlic bread - this is done in the slow cooker and 5 pieces of garlic bread in the freezer
i shall also be making some malt loaf at some point this week.I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0 -

Hi everyone, just starting to meal plan so thought it would be a positive to write it down here, so here goes:
Thurs: LO quorn roast and veg
Frid: Quiche and veg
Sat: Curry and rice
Sun: Pasta and cheese
Mon: Sausage & mash
Tues: Pasta and tom sauce
Wed: Jacket pot and tuna
The quiche and curry I am making this afternoon as Im working the next four days, and Im also making rice and pasta lunches to take to work instead of eating w**tabix as I think it will be more filling and keep me going longer ( I work a eight hour shift 6-2 with just 1/2hr breadfast break at 10am)
So I have a blackboard in the kitchen and written up the menu plan on it, so I have no excuses really, but some times I dont just fancy what I have put down but this time Im determined to follow it as I have sooooo much food leftover from Xmas:)

Hey everyone.
On tonights dinner is choizo and veg curry- normally one of my faves, but i am just not in the mood for it. But i have decided that its TOUGH LUCK, i just have to do it
I dont wanna!!!! But i have to, as the veg has been chopped, and the chorizo defrosted.

If you arnt keen on mash though just swap for sliced potatoes and layer up with any veg then top with cheese sauce.
Good idea Rainbow82, have run this past the troops and got positive noises so added to my plan for the next monthYummy_Mummy_Sofia wrote: »I also make far to much food again expecting the 5000 to turn up wanting food at any point.
Hey Yummy Mummy Sofiamy manwife is T1 diabetic and I had to start weighing things out when he went on an insulin pump because he needs to know really accurate carbs for his pump when he eats... and I found that our wastage really dropped after I started weighing things like rice, pasta, potatoes etc, and adjusting the amount depending on what I'm doing them with. Might be that weighing stuff is worth a go?
Did a freezer stock check this aft with help of manwife, and wow we have a lot more of some things than I thought (like 10 portions of hm tomato & mascarpone sauce, and 10 portions of various hm soups!), and some things I thought we did have we don't! Almost finished my plan for the next month, just got 2 more meals to come up with then I'm done, but now it's time to go make tonight's dinner. Will post my plan later on this evening when it's doneRule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.
