Oh dear what day is it?
Sorry missed wishing you all a very Happy Christmas, hope it was a good one for everyone.
I have only just had chance to wind down a bit, running 2 houses at Christmas was a bit much for me this year but I did it.and Mr TS took charge of all the cooking so we had a lovely day in the end.
My mum has found it all a bit too much too and has deteriorated quite a bit last few days, hence me not being about. I hope it is just temporary, but I know she wont be able to keep picking herself up for ever. If she is still with us next year I will have to stop doing a sack from her to my girls if she is still with us next year as with all the wrapping for her family, mine and OHs and the doubling up of Christmas stockings/sacks I wrapped over 100 presents. So you can see why I was AWOL.
Have read and thanked the first page, thanks for the new thread Dave, might not get chance to read anymore today. See you all later.0 -
My fingers are always cold lol. Spoils the magic doesnt it when they find out. Only time my son would sleep through the night was christmas eve because i told him Santa wouldnt come if he was awake. When he was around 6 he went down early hours and Santa not been i was :rotfl:in bed he was soon back in bed and asleep woke up and Santa had been.
Bet you was proud of him my son 23 and he still makes me proud.
Son going home today if he can get home he lives in Liverpool.
Thinks he be ok there was a landslid on Manchester - Liverpool and train line was shut yesterday. He looked online and says trains seem to be running today.
Says he didnt tell me didnt want me worrying
Im not sure if its the cold or if i have 'lego fingers'. Been building it for 3 days now! Sore aint the word.
We always try to make the most of christmas eve and day as OH works stupid hrs. He left at 5 boxing morning so when he gets home christmas eve, we become hermits until boxing day. No one comes t us and we dont go to anyones either. Just me the boys and their dad. Just how we like it. Far less stressful! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -
Just popped in from Sunny Spain to wish you all a
Happy and prosperous New Year.
Birthday Greeting to all having Birthdays Today and over the next few days.
And get well wishes to all that need them.:)0 -
Yes, I probably did something else wrong, never mind I still love Mickey just can't afford the flights to visit him.
I read somewhere that if you send micky and minnie an nvite to your party, wedding or a letter at christmas, you get a certificate. Might be nice for the children. Am tempted to send them a wedding invite for Vegas! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -
thanks, but that was posted on here over a week ago by someone else. Can't remember who original OP was. I remember rummaging through my voucher wallet at the time looking for the 50p mocs. I could only find 1 as i'd used them all on cheap loo roll. Not sure I can print off more mocs. I'm sure i've had my limit. Thanks ago though:)
check the post I linked to - allinthemind has provided a link to a pdf version of the coupon :beer:Elite 5:2 #54 12/13 lbs (18 Jan) 1st Target :j0 -
It's such a shame that there are so many horror stories about NHS care
From the other side, all we get is cutback after cutback after cutback. Staff leave and aren't replaced so the remaining staff are left to pick up the extra workload. This is the case across the whole of the NHS, from domestic staff to admin staff, nursing and healthcare staff have been particularly hit with that, as have doctors of all "ranks". And still we carry on as best we can.
The NHS is getting thousands of free hours out of their staff when they have to stay on after their shifts, but don't even get a simple thank you  let alone paid overtime
There is WAY too much management in the NHS. Take the pointless managers out and the NHS has some chance of survival. Take out the pointless system upgrades. Take out the meetings about meetings about meetings..
And finally, take out emergency treatment for injuries inflicted through drunkenness. How the hell is it allowed to happen that a broken nose gets priority on the theatre lists that people who have been waiting for months for surgery that they so desperately need??
Sorry, rant over. Even I hate the NHS sometimes.
People should complain. If people don't complain, then the pen pushers, number crunchers an pointless management will continue in their little bubbles to think that the NHS is fine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Afternoon everyone - hope you are all good
Birthday Wishes to Tiger, RN DD and Calm Spirit - have a fab day!
Forgot to say yesterday that one of my pressies from my DD was the G&B minis which she bought herself at full price
You can imagine my face on opening them can't you, when I have about 20 boxes of them in the garage for a penny each. She knows I love them but I really wished she just taken one from the stash and wrapped it and kept her money (hope you all know what I mean without me seeming ungrateful, mse style)
Off out shopping today, first time since the weekend. Can't believe I haven't been to the sales yet!!!0 -

I am thankful for the NHS, and especially the staff on the front lines, I am only here because of them and will always be grateful for that, but I do know that there are many weak spots and I have had first hand experience of them during multiple stays as a patient.I am lucky that I see a fantastic team and really cannot praise them enough.
I know of a consultant with this ideal and he will encourage complaints when they are needed. The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0
