Ain't that the truth - certainly where my OH is concerned. Love him to bits but I need my space. Finally been able to tidy etc without him under my feet. Having said that, he lost his keys this morning so he's had me running round the house looking for them  I found them

ain't that typical? :rotfl: my Oh is the same. Still no car! no idea where he has gone. Might have to walk to sada to use up my apgs. I'm hoping they will take the one DD wombled as it is worth the most. You can just about see the transaction number, but that's about all you can see on the receipt apart from the sada logo:D

    Howdy festive strangers!

Inhave had an exceptionally fab christmas. Christmas eve, ds1 dressed as santa. He waled passed our lounge window so two little ones would see him. Bless him. He hadnt done belt tight enough and his trousers fell to his ankles, he ran behind shed to readjust! Ds3 just caught sight of him in the corner of his eye and all he did was gasp out loud snd then pretend to be asleep on the sofa. I asked him what was wrong but he wouldnt answer. He peeked his eyes open and craned his neck, then shouted, i saw santa. We told him not to be daft, going along with our little trick. He got into a panic and thought he wasnt going to get any presents as he was awake!

I pretended to go outside and look. Reassured him i defo couldnt see santa. Ds1 had readjusted himself and was back in action. He stood behind me and waved at the other two boys through the window and shook his sack at them and then did a thumbs up. Ds2 spring into action and it was like our very own panto. Hes behind you.. We just pretended we couldnt see him! Ds3 pipped up that we either dont believe enough or santa is invisible to old people! Hes 4!

santa trotted off and disappeared. Boys were so amazed. They an upstairs to get their big brother, who ad by jow whiped off costume, he came charging out of his room and told them hed seen santa getting into his sleigh on the drive! Completely made our christmas. Now this is one of those times when big age gaps work to our advantage! It was pure magic for them.

On the other hand, they were so not impressed with the micky mouse phone call after that!

Sounds like you had a brilliant Christmas x
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

I had lots of similar incidents tweets, I slept at hospital from Boxing Day until March 17th when my mum passed. i would go home every other day to have a couple of ours sleep and a bath and I would phone from home to see how she was - phoned one day and was met with 'Didn't anyone phone you, there has been an incident, she has pulled out all drips and is critical', then next words were 'oh hang no, wrong person'.

There were so many failures of care while she was in it was unbelievable. We were told she was critical and her kidneys were failing so they were taking her off the medication for the kidneys as it was causing a build up of fluid elsewhere in the body. So you go with what the Dr says and they took off the medication, only somewhere in the communication between Drs and nurses my mum was removed from all medication and fluids. So no painkillers and no fluids even though she wasn't eating or drinking. it was only from me asking about the fluids and pain relief we found out about the mistake, the nurses were saying we were told to remove everything, I had to fight to get a Dr to check, it took over 12 hours and me threatening to fetch a Dr from A & E to get my mum fluids and pain relief.

When she was dying and arresting we called a nurse who told us 'Why are you calling me she is non-resus?' So much for the caring profession.

I can't face complaining as it would mean reliving it.
