Been putting off the inevitable but I really need to tackle my ironing pile now. Not touched it for about a week.
Mum must be feeling a bit better as informed me has sorted out some clothes that she no longer wears for a friend that is coming around this afternoon. She amazes me at times, could hardly stand on thursday!!!
Off out to a party later, within walking distance so may take some Ogio with me or M & S glitched chardonnay. Depends on the rain.
Will hopefully catch the night shift later. Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.:):)
Thats it Tiny, you've given me the kick up the bum I needed to get started on the ironing;) Is it sad that I've just been hunting out the 75% off Boots thread as thats the next big sale marker for me:oBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

I have 2 cartons ( a pint total) of stock, how much do I use , 1/2 pint per stew or all of it ?
Or do you use a little bit like the tiny tubs of knorr stock you can buy ?
I would personally use it all and freeze half of it to use another day.
Just a tip:)
Sweat some of your veg first before you add your stock.
Ie onions, leeks, root veg in a little oil or butter. It will give the flavour a greater depth:)To do is to be. Rousseau

:( As if 2012 has not been bad enough, I wont chronicle it all now but some of you know it has, I have just heard that a friend that I've known forever has passed away from Ovarian Cancer.
What makes it even harder is that we dont live that close anymore but I was the first person she told & I went to her first chemo with her & looked after her afterwards I encoraged her to tell her friends & neighbours down there & if they offered help she should accept it but as time went on she didnt want me to go down & didnt even want to talk to me on the phone, & she also didnt want any of our mutual friends to know she was ill so I've had to avoid everyone
So upset tonight
So sorry, QPR.
Hugs for Nannylala.

Morning all
Anybody know of any good cough medicine please?
Oh been coughing for days & its driving me mad! & him of course
He's taking lemsip cough med but not working
Afternoon all, Haven't been able to keep up for days so just popping on quickly.
Not offering any personal medical advice, of course, but DW has been afflicted by an unproductive hacking cough for about a week that has left her (and me:() very tired. She has been taking lots of cough medicine but to no avail. Finally went to the docs yesterday and they said her chest is fine (oo er missus) and the problem is with her throat i.e the cough medicine is useless. Recommended paracetamol + ibuprofen + frequent glycerol/honey/lemon drinks. Said that antibiotics would have no effect as there is no chest infection and it could take up to two weeks to clear:eek:.
So if cough medicine is having no effect go and see the doc:)Awaiting a new sig0 -
Hi all, made a quick turkey soup, on a whim I added 2 tbsp sada's sp stuffing from the packet, oh my goodness me, it is amazeballs, the family said the best ever:
chop and fry to soften one onion
add 2 pints chicken stock
half teaspoon celery salt or seasoning
3 chopped celery sticks
3 chopped carrots
3 chopped potatoes
bring all this to the boil
add the cooked turkey - I sort of peel the flesh so its stringy
simmer for 20 mins, add 2 tbsp stuffing from the packed
enjoy! if it's too runny for you, add some cornflour:p

If anyone is going to Sada's, Napolina 500g Conchiglie (shells) Pasta is on the shelf at £1.18, but the web site shows it as buy 2 for £2.00 and 50p a packet, other pasta also wrong price. Hurry before the IT department change it. CS have just sent me a £5 gift card.0
