They rang the police who in turn got customer services to do an announcement for mum. Apparently she came out with a trolley full of stuff and said she had only 'been 2 seconds' and was thoroughly abusive to everyone. The police seemed happy to give her a good rollocking and thanked my colleagues so I would do the same thing.
Over 30 children in America die each year due to this , eithe they pop out for 10 minutes and something happens or they dont take child out of car while they pop out get back in car get home and leave hem in car. Nit calling you for it as its easy to understand how it can be hard to get them in and out all the time, but if you go into a shop how do you keep an eye on them frOm the window. Ate you not going into shop or do you just walk up to the counter and ask for something wo
Without looking away from the window
Local shop's front wall is completely glass and all the shelves are 4ft tall or below, so wherever I am I can see outside. More often than not I'm only popping in for milk, so I'm in and out in about 2 minutes.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

I experienced exactly this scenario a few years ago. I noticed a car parked outside a chemist and there were two toddlers alone in the car, not strapped in or anything. Suddenly the car started reversing and I noticed that one of the children was playing with the handbrake. Fortunately the windows were wide open and without thinking I stuck my hand through the open window and pulled up the handbrake thereby stopping the car from reversing any further (it would have eventually reversed into a very busy road). I got such a fright though. I went into the shop shaking and asked the chemist to see whose car this was. He found the mother and gave her a real blasting I must say. Very foolish, anything can happen.0 -

Thank goodness, but who would take the chance that they could be returned unharmed!!!0 -

Dont get me wrong, I wouldn't leave my children in the car, but having them kidnapped and murdered would be low down on my list of reasons why.
Perceived crime and actual crime are 2 very different things. As Sharnad can't give me an example of an English child taken from a car and murdered I think its probably a very unlikely scenario in the UK don't you?0
