Hi wondered if anyone can help? I got some vouchers for hmv for xmas and haven't had chance to use them yet now I have just heard that they have gone into administration andthey are not accepting the vouchersorgift cards can they do this legally?? I feel like just walking in the shop getting what I want for the value of the voucher then walking out again!!! Very frustrating!!!!

It's absolutely legal I'm afraid Sarah though I know masses of people must still be hanging onto vouchers they had from Xmas. There are loads of posts on here about HMV and gift vouchers - some helpful, some not. Don't chuck it away or anything yet incase something occurs and you actually can use it at some point.

There's a Q&A re HMV on here too by the MSE team which has lots of useful info: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/shopping/2013/01/hmv-to-go-into-administration-your-rights

Another slight down this week had to cancel a shift at the second job due tothe dreaded norovirus!! on a positive I haven't eaten anything and not been anywhere so definately saved on petrol and not spent any money on anything else!!
It also means things on thehouse are delayed AGAIN! which means anothermotnh of mortgage utiities etc as well as board!
Sorry for the negativity guys!! Hope everyone is doing well!!

Not impressed with Pl@y.com  I ordered the Shred DVD if you remember before my Birthday, this morning realised I hadn't received it, looked on there and it is out of stock  I'm sure it was in stock when I ordered!!

Also £gg wrote back and I didn't have PPI on that card. Bum.

I actually did look on utube though and did level1 of the Shred on that so all was not lost. Now not sure whether to buy it...Mr S has it for £6.99 and a box set of 4 of hers for £16.99 which seems like a good deal but I probably just want one to be getting on with

Well I suppose you could look on the bright side in that you haven't half killed yourself doing the shred DVD. Look on it as a birthday treat :rotfl:

I sold a pair of shoes on fleabay yesterday for £15 incl P&P, then when packaging, I realised that I drive past the buyers house every day. I dropped them off today & offered to reduce the postage & she wouldn't let me. So I now have £15 in my purse :D:D

<says in a very small voice> They actually cost £16 in the N*xt sale & I only wore them once. So guess where the £15 is going :(

  • How is it only the 15th? How?

My professional subscription has come off my credit card today, so I'm £217.50 more in debt. I'll get the money back through expenses next month, so I won't count it in my debt total, that would just depress me.

I've got a tight chest today, and told my paranoid OH today, who suddenly proclaimed I have mould spores on my lungs, and must get myself to A&E immediately :rotfl: I think it's either the cold, or because the house is damp. I need to get some pennies together for a dehumidifier - I've not lived in a house yet where I couldn't have used one!

spent more thna i would have liked on shopping, but it was a top up shop and cost £24.99. (budget each week is £50) :T

just upgraded our love film subscription (i know, i know) so that's an extra £5. however i'm counteracting with this a £13 drop in our contents insurance so i'm convincing myself it's OK... lol
