Does anyone with a P4nasonic breadmaker know what on earth we are doing wrong with our bread? Everytime we go to make spelt bread the top of the load looks like it's collapsed in on itself
I feel like we're getting nowhere fast, that's 3 loaves now. I even tried using warm water today to try to make it better. We're using the whole spelt recipe the machine came with

It does depend on where you are round here, cambridge itself is all lovely well kept roads beautifully gritted, but head out toward the fens and your on your own! stroongly recommend investing in a tractor if you want to go out to see the carrot crunchers:rotfl:. They havent got verges or barriers on the sides of the road let alone grit :rotfl:. I used to live out that way and doing the 40 minute drive in the winter was an experience

I have been a bit quiet over the last week or so, but I assure you I have been lurking, loving reading everyone's posts! Tiny update from me, two weeks until I get paid, and whilst I am majorly in to my overdraft, I still have £90 left, and trust me, at this stage of January payday after not only Christmas but our wedding and honeymoon too, this is an amazing place to be, I am so glad I joined this forum as it makes me think every time I go to buy something now!!! All I will need to do between now and payday is put £30 petrol in my car to see me through and buy milk and bread. Good times!!!Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02

Hi all
(waves sheepishly)
havent posted in a little while
i have a confession.
My debt has increased.
Our car pretty much died on us so we had to get another one.
we ended up going for a 3 year old focus that only has 33k miles on it. We are hoping that cause its alot newer (11 years younger) than the old one it will be more reliable.
We paid a deposit of £1600. This will result in the Overdraft ending the month at £720.20
For now i am going to ignore the actual car finance aspect of it and concentrate on the O/D and the cards still.
So on that note pretty please could i change my debt totals to
£442.55 / £14,082.95 = 3.14%
This account for the debt additions in the month and the net payments made.0 -
Grrrr - I'm having a rubbish day. I got a bill of £12 today for Import Duty on a gift my friend from America sent over.:( I've looked into it & it appears that they think its commercial as she sent it from her work address. I'll call DHL tomorrow, but TBH none of the things she sent are particularly useful to us (steak rub, jam etc), and I'm sure she would be horrified to think that we had to pay extra.
Then, I got a £91 phone bill.:mad:I am absolutely mortified as its double our normal bill (includes TV & Broadband). AND it appears its me that has run it up.:o My mum has been diagnosed with cancer & is going through chemo so I call her every day at 6ish for half an hour or so to see how she is. As we have free evening and weekend calls I stupidly thought that the calls would be free. BUT evenings for Virgin customers start at 7pm. My mum is asleep by then. Even more stupidly, my dad is on the same fruit based mobile service as me and I can call him for free using magic numbers. Why oh why did I not think of this before.

Really sorry to hear that Ruthy. I had a similar thing last month when I rang my mum a couple of times internationally on my mobile. It was important to do but next time I'll figure out how to call her via Skype or something.Targets: [STRIKE]OD1 300[/STRIKE] OD2 1500 CC1 4950 CC2 1495 (Loan: 10,000 0%)

Totally recommend Skype to anyone who makes frequent calls or phones abroad! We use ours to ring our relatives in Aussie and dh's mum and it saves us a fortune (though we do have to ring mil and say 'put your Skype on!). We also use it to ring the kids when they go to stay at their aunties for the week as they can see us on the screen.
