I've just been having a discussion with the OH re: farmers market...both of us have decided we've never tasted carrotier carrots than the ones we get from our farmer although we have no idea how much 3 carrots should cost...does anyone know the price of carrots?

I buy a big bag in co-0p for £1 that usually has 12 - 14 carrots in it (dependent on size)
Also does anyone know if any sites by broken tablets??
I have been finding using a diary helpful to write down all my spending, it has been keeping me motivated to try and not spend anything unless absolutely necessary!!
Very positive smiley week this week going to post my payments etc towards the end of the month.

Sell the tablet on fleabag as spares or repair, people on there love broken electricals, just don't be specific on the problem, just say it doesn't switch on, no idea what's wrong with it.

Could I join please? My goal is

    £4300

This is our last debt, a loan, it might be tight for us to do it all, but even a making a big dent in it would be great :)

  • Now that I know my debt, I would like to join please. I'm in Australian dollars, I promise to convert at the end of the year to add onto the total.

This shouldn't be too tricky at the moment, but we're - gulp - probably about to buy an investment property, so things will be tighter. But I am determined to pay this debt off either way and not have it subsumed into the bigger mortgage debt that's coming our way.

    So please $AU8,000.
MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028
    14 August 2017 - Refinanced: $220,000
    January 2019 $211,580 Current MFD 31 June 2036

Morning All, well I shocked myself yesterday. My normal weekly shop is between £60-80 for 2 of us. Yesterday I had a quick look in the cupboards and decided there is way to much food in there which we need to use. So off I went to Mr A and came out only spending £12!!! I could not believe it.

All ways go in planning to only get what I need but never do. The amount of stuff in my cupboards I should be able to do this next week too, well as long as I have my blinkers on again!

I know a lot of you have mentioned the grocery challenge, what is this please?

  • New and feeling a bit overawed by all these lovely people paying off money. I'm self employed and my husband is unemployed. We fall into the trap thing because we are together he can't get benefits blah blah so it's a struggle which is why we have the debts - mainly food and petrol. We don't have holidays or have a social life so nothing to cut back on there and can't cut down on school bus passes and food but inspired by a few ideas and still going to try.
