Morning All, well I shocked myself yesterday. My normal weekly shop is between £60-80 for 2 of us. Yesterday I had a quick look in the cupboards and decided there is way to much food in there which we need to use. So off I went to Mr A and came out only spending £12!!! I could not believe it.

All ways go in planning to only get what I need but never do. The amount of stuff in my cupboards I should be able to do this next week too, well as long as I have my blinkers on again!

I know a lot of you have mentioned the grocery challenge, what is this please?

    Hi Fennmad,

Its in the "Old Style Money Saving" Section. Here is it:-

You declare what your weekly or monthly grocery maximum spend will be. and then you can chat to the others about your progress.

At the beginning of the thread there are also LOADS of fabulous frugal recipes if you are stuck for what to cook with what you have left.

We are a family of 4 and we are surviving on a £200 monthly shop.. not too bad as long as you are nifty at home baking xx

    Good luck

So previously you were reading and posting but not doing anything else, and now you're just reading, but not posting or doing anything else? :rotfl:I love it, now I feel soooooo much better ;)

:rotfl: Yes it didn't make the most amount of sense did it. Essentially I'm now back to reading AND posting and not doing much else ;) ...at least for a while.

I got funding awarded to do two courses on the Open University which I start in March and after passing (hopefully) early 2014 I hope to continue towards a degree in Psychology. So after March if I'm spotted on the forum I should be quizzed as to the complete-ness of my assignments :rotfl: I haven't been a student for a *cough* long while so I know it's going to be tough.

    Hi all!

WOW! This thread has been moving so quickly this weekend, it's taken me an hour to catch up.

Haven't got any debt-busting to announce, this post is more just a marker for myself so I know how far I've read :rotfl:

Am patiently waiting for my BT's to go through for the 0% cc. I thought they might go through on the same day, but am now thinking it might take longer. you'd think that now you can do faster payments, that they could get a shimmy on with them really.

REALLY stupid question, but how do you automatically find where you last read up to. I have a TOTAL nightmare trying to find where I last posted.

I end up clicking on all the "Thanks" buttons to try to find where I read to, but it can take ages.
