I use a site called eeb@ for envelope budgeting, it's useful, but I do get confused sometimes! They have an app as well. This month, to make sure I keep to it, I have a separate purse for food money, and will take out half my food budget until it runs out, then take out the other half.

Ive just started using their app on my phone...it's really easy to use and am hoping it's going to help control my spending on shopping!

Just been catching up on all the new msgs - welcome to all the new members! I've been in Ireland for the new year and arrived back yesterday.
Would love to report some debt paid off but need to wait until pay day which isn't til the 15th. In fact the debt payments are set up to go by direct debit on the 16th so a few days yet. I'm also planning to use any money left in my current account on pay day to go towards the debt so focussing on keeping spending low for the next 10 days - not easy when the sales are calling!!! Anyway, the babysitting starts again tomorrow afternoon so that will be some cash to put towards the total.
Keep up the good work everyone!GC: Jan £118.67/£175

Well chaps...went to ALD! and to be honest couldn't see much difference from L!DL. Some things more expensive, some things cheaper and a whole lot of tat in the middle of the shop :rotfl:
BUT still cheaper than Mr T or S so I'm happy...spent £61 on our weekly shop which should last us more than 7 days I hope. Even bought 3 bottles of lager as we are making a curry tonight with whoopsie chicken and spices given to us by my sister as a Chritmas gift (all the spices are there dry in the jar we just need to add chicken and, oddly, some malt vinegar!)
Still feeling rough today but home now for a coffee and some painkillers so happy the food shop is done.
Happy Saturday everyone! :beer:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Spagbol:eek: there's so much difference! :rotfl: I go for the 69p fruit/veg of the week saves a fortune on tesc0 and lid1 sometimes but you have to take a chance it will be veg you need this week.
Just learned about shopitize - do any of you use it?0 -
Good morning
Just sold a bag on ebay which, after fees, made me £19.38. Paid that amount off of credit card so total for
#11 £867,83/£10,224 = 8.47%
I have another item ending today which has a bid of £30 and 17 watchers, so when that sells I will pay the total, after fees, off of the CC :j
Have a good weekend everyone

OH's student loan has just turned up, so we've sat down with the spreadsheet and totted in where that money has gone. 3 months @ £500 from him means I only need to pay in £1307 each month to cover our monthly spends, so all the extra is going to go towards our annual spends. We've worked out in 6 months time we'll have our annual spends pot covered for an entire year. I'm super excited by this as it will mean that come June we'll both be paying in and can have all that lovely dosh going towards our savings pot
We're already under budget for this month on the spending front too
more £££ towards my debt yay \o/ Feeling really positive today, can you tell?

WOW this thread is moving fast
Nothing to report here at chav mansions, I am now on the staff bank at work, so will now get paid for any extra hours that I work (instead of time owing).
Will be paid at a lower rate, but as I struggle to get time owing back, and they will not pay overtime, it is extra money in my pocket. Have done two shifts up to now but will not get paid till end of FebMortgage Owed: Sept 14 - £107398.200
