The other thing I am going to try and do is cut down what I live with, motivated by an article in Good Housekeeping magazine about a man called Dave who decided to live only with 100 things. I wont be able to get down to that level, but I am going to be ruthless and sell lots of things
Does that include stuff like clothes? :eek:£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

Really want to be under £15k by end of month, should be possible if we have a quiet month and don't overspend. So far so good! Everyone seems to be doing soooo well, amazing way to start the year as we all mean to go on

Man you lot talk fast! Just skimmed through all the remaining comments! Sorry to hear there are a few unwell folks (and folk-pets) out there! Glad I'm not the only one finding food expensive...
I use a site called eeb@ for envelope budgeting, it's useful, but I do get confused sometimes! They have an app as well. This month, to make sure I keep to it, I have a separate purse for food money, and will take out half my food budget until it runs out, then take out the other half.

Another refund of £6.16 has just gone on my CC so a total update from me
I've worked out to be debt free by the end of the year I need to be paying an additional £6 a day, that seems fairly reasonable to me. But I definitely want it to be more!!! That's an average of £180 a month eep on top of interest! EEP!!!

Hello and welcome Velma :wave: and well done on the payments everyone :j
Thank goodness...DH has been paid :j There should be a couple of hundred to pay off my "shopping and petrol" CC but sadly that isn't part of the challenge so I can't declare it :mad: This month will just be minimum payments only but since they alone are about £750pcm my total will still look ok :eek::D
DH is expecting some freelance money but sadly that will also be absorbed...January sucks :mad:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
It's just occurred to me that we've been paying £9k off a year AND replenishing that 9K AND spending even more!!
We were so daft :mad::mad::mad:
So pleased I had my LBM (wish DH would have his :rotfl:) and that we are now on an upward spiral instead of downward :T
Off to ALD! in a minute for the weekly shop, I've never been before. I always thought the nearest one was miles away but it's only about 6 miles so will give it a go :jDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0
