  • Hia all, hope everyone is doing great.
Can I change my target please to £1600, it is a more realistic amount for me to hopefully get this year.
On target to getting £700 in one savings account, about £100 in the 'spare change' account and £700 in another savings account. The last £100 will be a challenge as I am driving to my uncles for a holiday, 8 hours each way! But I then get to see my cousins new baby :) and Buying son and I a new bike each for christmas, he has a rubbish one that is getting too wee for him, this will be his first proper bike without stabilisers. I dont have a bike, but as I am hoping to do more camping next year, think we both need bikes to help us keep costs down and help me lose this 5 stone that I have been told I need to lose.
It's just us two now, no longer have the safety net of the boyfriend, so really need to watch the pennies, also I can't just go buy myself a bike, so son suggested that I ask Santa. I did get the bike pump, repair kit and helmets from Lid! so dont feel too hard done to as the price online or in bike shops was at least 3 x what i paid.

fennmad - business on hold as I have baby brain and can't think past either tidying the house or sorting things ready for the baby whoops! Also, it's all in boxes that I really should sort out.

Update from me, a small one but it's still an update!!!

  • Hi All,

Mad to think my baby was due this week and shes already been here 3 weeks! Glad to hear the other bumbs are doing well, i hope the time passes quickly for you!

Have managed to pull the money together and buy a tall freezer, soon to be delivered. Have got the money for a new fridge as well. So from Thursday no daily trip to the shop. Really proud of myself as got by and didn't give in to credit card temptation. Managed to pay £80 off debt too, not updating total yet as bagged up my loose change earlier and there's another £62 to pay off once i get to the bank. Need to get the money together next for a new washer (still working but boils everything.)

    Feeling positive for once ;-)
