Right then. Looks like we are moving! LL has done a u-turn and said if we're not happy then he will end the tenancy early. We are just waiting to get that in writing. Hoping the LA will help us to find another place ie put us at the top of the queue for new properties, as all of the properties in our price range get let out very quickly. (within 24 hours mostly
)
We don't really have the money to move. We will basically eat up our savings. and I have a shed being delivered this morning! Pants.
That really sucks. BUT on the other hand, you really hate your landlord, so I'm sure you can justify the cost of moving quite easily:
Cost of moving = £600
Savings in heating = £50/month
Savings in electricity = £10/month
Better health from losing the damp = Priceless
Even if you take out the peace of mind from having a better landlord, you have covered the cost of moving within 1 year, and anything from there is simply savings straight in your pocket (or deposit fund), so don't think of it as eating at your savings, think of it as a long term investment.0 -
#167 Only £1,529 to go and I have a nice tax rebate on it's way that should cover just under half of this
I am not living in my overdraft any more and I am one happy bunny :j
:beer:I love the free things in life(Won 2013: Gig Tickets)
I hope to be Debt free before I start uni!
August 2013: £1,529
(Just to get a whole new fresh and exciting debt!)0 -

Thank youthat is a good way of looking at it. I was going to pop down to the Letting Agents today but bunny has taken a turn for the worse and I'm not sure we will have time, as we have to get to the vet.

Yes, it came to a grand total of £1.78 at the vets :rotfl: I had my bank card out expecting it to be loads!!! He is looking a bit better, just resting atm. I have him indoors as I want to keep an eye on him,, make sure he's pooing OK etc (if he gets diarrhoea he needs to go straight to the emergency vet). They think its like a neurological pain, you know a bit like headaches rather than a cut knee for example.0 -
Hello everyone!
Just popping in to give an update as my car DD went out:
#146 £3800/£10000 38%
Spagbol - thanks for the updates, i love knowing what we've paid off as a team, i find it very motivating to think of the sheer scale of the money we're repaying.
Minicooper - what a lovely positive spin on the housemove (and very true)
amr547 - my housebunny is lucky to be alive after chewing through several cables whilst at my mum & dads house. The cables arent the issue - its my mum! :rotfl::rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:
SPC 7: #135 :staradmin | MFW 9.72% | Groceries: £6.49/£80 | Exercise 0/20 | NSDs 0/150 -
