:j:j:jWooooooooo Congratulations BedSitBob and TripleChocChip!!!!! :j:j:j
I am plodding away with the big debt. Not much to report as paid really but I have been able to take some brilliant steps to enable me to pay the OD and other debts off!
1. Is that I managed to transfer all the annoying niggly debts onto my T*sco C.card so although I know its not paid off, It feels SO good to know that my C.One that i have had since 2004 is now GONE! Yipeeeeeeee!
I have upped my monthly DD to tesc* and I will be making extra payment as and when I can. I now have 3 C.Cards and my OD, this makes it a lot simpler for me to see what I need to pay off first and easier to make overpayments too. I am hoping that I will be able to pay off one of the c.cards before the end of sept too so that I then just have the two c.cards to worry about (and the OD lol)
2. The other thing that I have done is to open a seperate bank account to pay my business salaries into, I need to close my other business bank acc. before the end of sept to avoid paying £5.50 a month for it. I will eventually use this account to pay monthly payments into the OD account so that I can stop living in my OD and begin to pay it off
It is very difficult to do this when you are using the same account for all income and expenditure.Don't turn a slip up into a give up

My OH has finally sorted himself out with a flat! He's been staying with his Dad while he got himself settled at work, but now he's moving closer to work. The train ticket is £30 more when I got to visit him, but it will be a convenient place to stay if I get any interviews :T0

I should probably update my sig, I have no idea how many savings we'd got atm but I spent too much this month on stuff eg rabbits:rotfl: I'll wait until payday then work it out.
I think we have sort of mutually agreed to stay here 'til February and see where we're at. We need a bigger safety net if we're going to move really. But obv if LL refuses to do anythign at all (we think he will do the bare minimum) we will have no choice as I would question the safety of the blocked pipes0 -
Hi all,
Its been way too long since I put my mind to money saving matters and it certainly shows.
My credit cards debts have crept up again and now I don't think i stand any chance of being debt free for xmas.
All my own fault. I have been careless with cash and far too quick to spend through the school holidays. Just spent a fortune on a long weekend away with the family. I had budgeted for it but still alot spent.
I need to get back on track. I had been saving by doing sealed pot challenge but earlier on in the year I had to break into it.
However, I had started saving again and I am now wondering if I should put it towards my debts??? It feels silly to have money sat in a pot when there are things I could pay off. But on the other hand, it is like a little incentive to keep chipping away at my debts.

:rotfl: Kerri - no, there's no funny business there I'm afraid, just more convenient. But yes, it was me who was moaning about the blinkered OH - he didn't buy, he listened to my voice of reason and is only renting. I'd be fuming if he had bought something!0
