men:rotfl: i think maybe you need to makei t clear to him that you thought you'd be buying together. i think men sometimes need to be told straight!

i have seen lots of lovely houses for sale but we're nowhere near where we need to be yet so i don't know why i bother looking! gah :p

Well I have pointed out to him that, while he has enough money for a house deposit just now, he doesn't have enough to buy all the furniture that people ordinarily need, so talked him in to renting for a few months until he gets a bit more together to cover everything.

amr there's lots to cook on the hob top - try something like fajitas, bolognese, chilli, Ragu, sausages and mash, curry, stew, tuna pasta, soup, diced chicken and veg - my mum even (don't ask me how) bakes potatoes on the hob! They lost the pilot light at Christmas, and haven't gotten round to getting a replacement yet :rotfl:

Well I've done sod all this weekend after some plans were cancelled. Have ended up only leaving the house to go to Aldo's, which has been very good on my bank balance!

I gave myself an extra £100 in my monthly budget so I could enjoy life a bit more, but I just found out I have £250 left. With pay day on Friday, I'll pay the extra £100, carry over £50 to next month, and put the rest to my MOT fund. I might book train tickets to go home next month first!

same, i thought we'd have nothing left this month because of the MOT/service, new mattress and trip to London, but I still have £300 in my current account which is great.

Gonna top up the savings to £500 later this month, had to dip into it for bdays/fathers day. Looks like our house savings could be £500 from me if we are careful :D
