My little kitty is becoming expensive. He's the only one the flea treatment hasn't worked on and the poor thing is riddled with them. I've sprayed the house twice already but he's picking them up from somewhere at home. Off to pet store later to try a different brand.

When I had my cat, he picked up fleas from somewhere and they were a nightmare to get rid of! I sprayed the whole place over and over again, but the sprays are hopeless! I got most of them by hoovering thoroughly every day. My mum killed them off one day - she was on warfarin, and when they bit her, they died pretty quickly. No idea how you go about doing that without poisoning the cats!

Well, no fleas on Harley today so hopefully we've won the battle...famous last words.!

Minicooper, if the fleas come back maybe I should invite your mum round for tea ;)

Payday tomorrow so been busy sorting finances this morning. Don't think I'm going to have much "spare" to save this month though.

OH gets paid tomorrow thank goodness, it could be an expensive few weeks if the agency don't get their !!!!!! into gear.

what can i cook with a kettle and a imcrowave?? i HATE microwaved meals! they are always so yucky.

also opinions needed. would you stick it out here even though the agency are useless, repairs are never done and people are going in your garden, or would you pay an extra £100 pcm to rent elsewhere in a better area? i'm guessing a newer house might be more energy efficient, our current house isnt!

Can you afford to pay an extra £100 a month comfortably? Will you feel happier if you move? If you answer yes to both of these, the answer's fairly obvious to me.

Put boiling water onto a pan of small shaped pasta/spaghetti and the pasta will cook through without putting the pan on to cook though it takes a bit longer obviously. Heat a jar of pasta sauce (not in the jar though ;)) or some passata/tin tomatoes with some herbs in the microwave = pasta and sauce :D
Failing that..you could invest in some Pot Noodles :D

hm. yes and yes. need to discuss it with my OH :o he wants to rent privately and not through an agency though and it's kind of tricky to find private rentals now.

:rotfl:hopign it'll be fixed this afternoon as electrician is finally coming :T

e: the cooker element has gone, so thats why when you have the oven on it fuses and cuts the power. so just waiting for a new part...

Gutting! Just found out David Tennant is currently filming in my home town! I'm such a Dr Who fan! Oh, and Billy Connoly is there too... But seriously, I'm gutted!

As another poster said if you can pay £100 comfortably then go for it. Better area and you will feel better and safer. Also if it is a newer house than it will probably take less money to run and therefore the extra £100 will balance out.
