just opened an account so that i can put some money away for the house deposit! a standing order each month then i;ll top it up if i have extra money available. i'll keep a minimum of £500 in my savings at any one time, so i will always have spare if i need it. (this new account has a 40 day lock on it which will stop me from frittering it all away)0

Hi, just an update. I've managed to pay £380 this month and have moved both cc's onto a new 0% deal for 24 months. I feel so much better knowing that the total will be going down quicker.

Hello all! We are back from France but I am knackered so will properly go through the posts at the weekend.I hope you have all been super good money wise!
We had an absolute nightmare getting to France thanks to the strikes and it cost us more than we had hoped paying for that  but we had such a lovely time it almost doesn't matter
Sorry if I've missed anyone becoming debt free I will catch up properly tomorrowDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Right, my epic catch-up is underway! It is DS1's actual birthday today so we have done pressies, I've got a coffee and am putting off housework before our families descend later for a (soggy) BBQ
Apologies again to the delay whilst we were away, especially to new starters and anyone who has become debt free :T
Hi everyone, after reading your thread I'd like to join, it's really motivating my debt figures are 6807.55/7827.53 many thanks Shelbi
Hi and welcome  you are #179 good luckhotspur_pam wrote: »Hi there,
i'd like to join this challenge.
My debt currently stands at £1365 which is a combination of an overdraft and credit card.
Urggh, i need to really focus on clearing these debts. I came so close to doing so a few months back but lost focus and built-up the debt again. Anyway, aiming for Xmas is a great motivation . Thanks for the thread and good luck everyone!
Hi and welcome to you too  you are #180Disaster! I have had to replace the car so back to square one and then some!

:j:j #032: £2,950 / £2,950 100%!!!! :j:j
As you might remember I'm not technically debt free because I still have a car on finance and sofa credit to pay but we decided they would not take priority this year (and the sofas are 0% anyway). The car will be next year's challenge
For now though, all my other outstand debt is paid and we will now focus on savings! Target is £3,500
Well done :j:j:j:j:j I will do your roll of honour post in a minuteDefinitely something in the water... had our first scan yesterday we're 11 weeks and 5 days with a little wriggler in my bellyFirst baby and super excited, not exactly planned (we don't tell the other half I stopped taking my pill in January) so 2014 is going to be a very exciting year.
Yeah!! Huge congratulations!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
