    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning all!

Back at work today which gives me a chance to catch up on all of my MSE threads. It's a good job I've got a quiet afternoon planned or I'd never catch up.

R-O I know exactly what you mean about wanting a statement to arrive, can't wait to get my CC one showing my mahoosive (for me anyway) payment. Hoping I'll be able to pay off some more just before payday as I plan to have money left over, oh yes! :)
  • Hi all!
I was briefly part of the DFBXMAS 2012 thread but due to life getting in the way, in terms of a new job, I had to revert to just reading the posts. I tried to pay off some debt but ended up aquiring quite a bit more due to a move (for work) to a different country and taking on a mortgage. I am not going to include my mortgage (yet) in my debt busting plans but will go for the smaller loans/CC's that urgently needs sorting out.

Looking forward to working hard at busting the debt with you all in 2013. My figure is high so wont be able to clear it all but if I clear 2 CC's and make a dent in my overdraft I will be pleased.

Please give me a number and put me down for:

    0/82300
Finally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!

Yeah! Well done. Is it a 0% BT?

I am having the BEST DAY of the xmas break so far I think! We had a coffee with friends at a softplay cafe today (naughty :o) and now kids are playing really nicely with their new toys and I am batch cooking a huge butternut squash soup and a vat of my chickpea curry. Size 10 bod here I come!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, thank goodness. 0% for 22 months. Am transferring 1000 off the worst credit card too. Our credit rating has been rubbish for ages, not because we've missed payments,'because we haven't, but just our general level of debt I think, so to be accepted for a new card is fab!

Brilliant result to start the new year! Well done! I'm too scared to try for a new credit card, but I guess I could have a go and see what happens. It would be good to get 0% on balance transfers and then pay the rest of it on my current cc. Bit of good news though. I recieved £600 more from my work! Not sure how or why at the moment, so I'll need to check. I wouldn;t want to spend something that isn't mine! I am ging up to the next pay threshold, so it could be back pay for the year. If so at least £400 is going straight on the cc!

Who'd have thought that I'd be impatient for statements to arrive LOL! :rotfl:

I'm the same now! I can estimate how much it will be, but I'm going to wait for the statements. I think it will be more satisfying that way.

I paid off my PAD of £5.55 so I'm still on track to PAD £200 and this means reducing my debt by 5% of my goal this month.

(I posted this on Pay off as Much as YOu Can thread by accident!)
    Targets: [STRIKE]OD1 300[/STRIKE] OD2 1500 CC1 4950 CC2 1495 (Loan: 10,000 0%)
    Totals: £17945 [STRIKE]£24850[/STRIKE] (£6905/27,78% paid off)
