    Sorry, I am BEYOND excited. Another bill hit yesterday*, putting me $400 under what I needed, which is too much to siphon off DH's pay and still leave us enough to live on. I was devastated! Humbled! Words cannot convey my sadness. But then a couple of quarterly dividends came in, that I had totally forgotten even existed because they have historically been so tiny, and with some squeezing this fortnight's budget I can officially say:

    #119 $8000/$8000

    As I said upthread, I've since taken on some investment debt, which I've been separating out from this. I love this thread, and you lot, too much to leave, so I'm going to take a fortnight off and spend like a spendy thing, and then come straight back with a new target if that's alright Spag Bol?

    *Does everyone else know exactly when each bill is due? We run everything through a line of credit, so there's always funds there to cover expenses, and my budget is pretty careful in that it takes into account what we spend over a year, including once-off and annual expenses...but I never know WHEN things are due, exactly, so I can never look at the accounts and think ooh, look, we're under budget, I can buy a treat.

    Congratulations Armchairexpert.:beer::T

    Well done! :beer:

    You asked if everyone else knows when each bill is due. I have a spreadsheet I use and I have it to show all bills due for a year (month along the top and bill name listed on the left). In the column next to the bill name, I have the date each bill is due. So, even if it a once a year bill, I can see straight away when it is due. Hope this helps! :rotfl:

    Woo hoo well done!! :j:j:j:T:T:T I'll sort out your DF roll of honour after the dinner madness :D

    Also, I know when my bills are due from using the DD bit of online banking, I just budget the amount and date from the previous month. The 6-monthly ones catch me by surprise a bit!!

    For the CC debt I have a spreadsheet which I use to update our CC totals, next to each one I put the min amount and the date of the DD so I know and I check this every day :D

    Hello

    My expenses were paid early, so I have started on the very debt early :D

    #11 - £5515.74/£10,224 = 53.95% :j

    whats the cost is saying that the very debt will be clear by the end of June, but I have other plans. It will be clear by the end of May!! A quidco payment of £163 is on its way so I will pay that to very as soon as it arrives :D

    edit - Armchairexpert, I purposely do not pay my bills by direct debit because I want to know the exact date they are paid. I pay everything on payday :D This month has been a bit of a nuisance though, I paid all the bills last Thursday and some of the money still has not gone from my account due to the bank holidays :(
