I looked at the post and thought 3rd march - it's my friend's birthday today I must get her a card. Then I thought "I'm sure I already got her one!" :rotfl:

This has really made me :rotfl:

Kerri - I too am horrified at the Royal Mail postal charges! I am now going to start sending ebay items by other means, as it is just ridiculous, and buyers are just not willing to pay postage on items at that price, and understandably so! It is SO shortsighted of RoyalMail. I am a liker of many fb business pages that custom-make their items by hand, and they are all awash with talk between themselves of how to bypass Royal Mail now they are charging so much more to post their items out to customers. Thanks for the link to the site to order the postage calculator guide, I have ordered one as we are currently clearing out all of our wedding items and the postage cost has gone through the roof! What annoys me is I go on the RM website, calculate my package at home and charge the buyer the "correct postage", then get to the flippin' post office only to be charged £3-£4 more per item, raaaa!!!

SpagBol - haha, I love your line about "£3 to post air", priceless! It is the sort of thing my husband would say! :rotfl:

Helenpie - wow, you are doing brilliantly!!! Keeping everything crossed you go on the debt-free roll of honour by the end of April. Seeing others achieve their goal spurs me on :D

Braddy - Well done, you are doing brilliantly too, I need to get my finger out methinks!!!

    Checking in...

I'm a little sad that I don't get to keep up with you all so much anymore but I am still working away at the debts. My end of March update is.....

    #010 £13,788.01/£16,660.26 82.76% paid

Just 22 days til April payday and fingers crossed we're (just!) still on track to use that month's salaries to finally clear the last of it :j Realisticly, likely to be more like 26 days before I actually process the payments and a few more to confirm it's all done but still by the end of this month!!!!

Hope you're all doing ok still xxx

    Keep it up Helenpie :T:T

    LOL

Just went to the post office and managed to get everything sent as small packets :D even my large letters I sent as small packets just to be on the safe side! Comes to something when you're paying extra "just in case". Quite pleased that mail to US is simplified now though, most of my purse orders come from there on Etsy.

I'm off for a 7 mile cycle now with the OH, 2 weeks today I'll be just coming up to Stonehenge eep! Still need to find the rest of the sponsor money, I'm going to nag parents when I see them this weekend wohahaha

OH's dad spoke to CAB today, apparently it's illegal for car insurer to withhold proof of NCD. They said they will be writing to them to let them know we are unhappy with the customer service and also to clarify they're not allowed to withhold the proof of NCD.
