i'm not sure actually. but you can also get cashback on TCB for doing insurance quotes! every £ helps! :j i just went direct through TCB to Av*va to get a quote then cashback as it was fairly cheap compared to what we'd seen, plus the deposit was £50 lower than everyone elses!0 -

iclaudius - wowee, you are doing brilliantly, well done:j
Thanks for everyone's input on cashback and car insurance, I will check it out closer to renewal time (October), great to know about Quidco having their own comparison thing too, I had no idea.
foxy - of course you can join, all are welcome
Insertwitty - Yep, you are right, we just need to set new goals. We desperately want to buy a home (sick of paying our landlord's mortgage for him!!!), neither of us are getting any younger, so plan is to knock as much debt as possible on the head this year, and then to join a "save £12k in 2014" thread next year so we are in a position to start looking in 2015.
On that note we looked at houses for sale in our village in our budget, and there are some fab properties for sale! We think we are going to book some viewings this week to a) see what we will get for our budget, and b) to focus us on paying our debts off, it will motivate us I think.
We are off work this week, and the weather today is gorgeous! We are off out to tax DH's car, and also get lots of other bits sorted too. If we are going to drive in to the city, we like to combine all our jobs to make the use of petrol worth whileAnother moneysaving obsession we now have, not to just do one thing per trip!!!
Now, I am off to make our extensive list of things we need to get done while on said trip in to the city!!! Have a good day everyone:wave:Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02

Grrrr I am so mad! I worked both Good Friday (early shift) and bank holiday Monday (long 12.5 hour shift) because we get bank holiday pay and I wanted to use that big lump sum to pay off a chunk of my credit card. The shifts had to be authorised by 10am this morning which yesterday they assured me it would be. By 9.50 this morning it still hadn't been authorised for yesterday so I rang the ward to ask them to do it and they said they would. Just checked it and it still hasn't been authorised!! Dammit I won't get the money now until the week after for that shift. Just means I'll have to split the big chunk payment into 2 but still annoying!!DF by Xmas 2013 #135: £833/£1195 (69.7%)0
