Sounds like a great total for March :T I have said it before but we are all really good at this aiming for debt-free-ness things aren't we
How did the bootsale go Spagbol? :snow_grin
It was ok but not brilliant...an extra £55 in the pot :T:T but sadly that's going to have to go towards holiday spending money rather than the challenge or else we won't be able to eat when we go :rotfl:rogueylawyer wrote: »I'm sat in on the sofa in a sunny patch, drinking coffee and eating hot cross buns, watching my favourite period drama, with my own little easter bunny have a snooze in the sunshine near my feet. I thought it was about time I did my bit towards the repayment, instead of dragging us forever in to negative figuresbut this time and determined to take it slow and steady. As all my debt is on 0% until Xmas it makes more sense to keep the saved money in my ISA and keep cash for in case of emergency, instead of throwing everything at the credit card and having no reserve when drama strikes.
In the circumstances it is therefore a very modest:
#122 £2.94/ £3854.11 Perhaps we shouldn't work out the percentage paid off that is... :rotfl::rotfl:
All payments are exciting, well done :T:TA very small update from me
#110 muppets £197.20 / £5000
Can I please up my target to £5000
Last week my boyfriend and I signed new contracts at work, these contracts are till the end of the year, so happy we got these new contracts as our old contracts were due to end today. We have both managed to get a few more hours added into our contracts.. Hoping to be able to pay an extra £350 per month towards my debts.
Well done on the contracts, that must be a huge relief! :j:jDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
You're all going to shout at me but on Tuesday I'm going to be adding another £430 to my debt because I NEED a new laptop. However on Thursday I will be paying £325 off! So really only like adding £105 on.
Don't worry, as long as it was essential we won't tell you off:rotfl: At some point this laptop will die and we will need another one...

She said she wants to go to a shop to get it???
There are some people who just don't want to be helped I suppose!
32b3 & NSK I know what you mean but in the last few years people are coming round to it a bit more. I am so famous for buying second hand now people give me all their old clothes for the kids, myself and even DH!
Also with Quidco, I keep trying to get my parents to do it but they are so paranoid they think it is a giant scam...DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

50k in March is absolutely fantastic, well done guys!!! :j
Not very much paid off this month but had my sons christening and hubby is having to sort out a cheap running motorbike to get into work as his lift sharing isn't working out, boooo!! So min payments on credit cards and a little bit extra taken off our overdraft. Selling things on ebay is continuing but i think this will be going towards keeping us afloat til pay day
Really need to make some more cash. I've been looking at things like online surverys etc but don't seem to be getting many coming through. Hoping to do a car boot this month too when weather gets a bit warmer. I like looking and getting ideas of how you all make money
Anyway enough from me hope your having a good easter xDebt free by xmas #163 257.78/8400 = 3.07%

When I completed this challenge last year I already knew what I wanted to achieve, in order:
• Buy a new laptop (for my self-employed work).
• Save a house deposit (see my sig)
• Build up a 6-9 month emergency fund in case of job loss.
• Overpay mortgage/pension.
• Stop working as early as possible!
I'm sure smaller things for the kids (such as uni, first car etc.) will also be put into the mix as the time gets nearer, but I like knowing where I'm going (financially) for the long term.
Yeah, I've got a few goals after this which include saving a house deposit and buying a house. Then kids will come later, hopefully. :j My aim is actually to be in a position in my career / life where I can work part time comfortably without sacrificing too much.
Just been shopping, bought things for lunch this week - £11, £20 into the electric meter and £100 on the council tax bill. Plan is to overpay CT every month to clear it quicker hhaa.0 -
