Well what a month.
Facing a potentially very expensive bill on my 10yr old Punto, We took a deep breath, made a spreadsheet, compared costs and bought a new (well, to me) car.
So debt repayment has faltered this month, but we will benefit in the long term hopefully.
I'm disappointed at the rate the debt is going down, so a renewed effort this month, remembering to ask myself "do I need it, or do I want it?"
I'd like to get Capital One to zero by September - 5 paydays - so £300 reduction per month........0 -

I'd agree, I have a MacBook Air, and it's completely ruined me (not financially, the loan is paid off now).
No one else understands why I gasp in horror or tap my nails waiting for normal laptops to boot up and get things done.0 -

Do any of you find it tough being around people that don't watch their cash in the same way?
BTW spag can you please round up my total to #141 £740/3250 - thanks!!0 -

Yes I do! and I notice the bemused looks when I say I don't use my credit cards anymore - they don't make a comment but their faces make it obvious that they don't know how that is possible IYKWIM.
My other mantra when invited for a c**ta or st**bucks is "Stop paying the price of a jar of coffee for just one cup" - I've now lengthened this to include - "and get a Waitr*se loyalty card" :rotfl:
Anyway, I'm soooooo excited waiting for an egg cos I'm the only one up at the moment and I'm soooooo excited to see what our monthly total paid off is for March - can we have a little clue, Spagbol, please........0 -

Nice to know I'm not the only one that celebrates Dr Who being back! You've got all week to make up for the pizza hut though, just use your flexi-syns, and no gravy on the lamb today!triple_choc_chip wrote: »Yes I do! and I notice the bemused looks when I say I don't use my credit cards anymore - they don't make a comment but their faces make it obvious that they don't know how that is possible IYKWIM.
Yup, I know that sort! My closest friends don't use credit cards at least, but think they're 'too young' to be saving for the future...Well...I will do the big reveal tomorrow BUT just to say that since the challenge began we have paid off well over £215k between us :T:T

Going to MILs for lunch so not sure what will be served there...
