That'll be quite a jump.0

Yes, it all depends on things going as planned this month though !!0

I have to disagree I'm afraid, I paid off the smaller ones and am now stuck with the biggie and it's not going anywhere fast
That is the downside although in theory you should have more money to throw at itGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Evening
I just opened a tin of money I have been saving since the beginning of Jan 2013 and tomorrow I will be paying £111.69 onto my card.
My new total will then be #11 - £4867.20/£10,224 = 47.61%
The credit card will be paid off at the end of April, I may even manage to pay it off before the next statement is due depending how ebay sales go next month

Thanks for the advice people, re the dilemma over whether to almost pay off one card, or completely clear two cards and throw the rest at Capital One. We have decided we will clear the two store cards completely and throw the remainder at the Capital one card. We think we will be happier seeing the number of companies we owe money to reduce, it will motivate us more, and also as others have said we can then use what would have been used to cover minimum payments on the two store cards against the bigger debts. Once the two store cards and Capital One are cleared (the three smallest debts), we are going to use the snowballing thing online to reduce our debt in the most interest efficient way.
In other news, I sold my wedding gown today. Not an easy decision to make, but once I had decided to sell it I knew it was the right thing. I got two thirds of what I paid for it so I am over the moon with that, as most brides are lucky to get £100-£200 for them. Also, it was too beautiful to languish in a box for the rest of its days, it needed to be worn again. If you had told me on my wedding day just three months ago I would be selling my wedding gown I would never have believed you!!!
I am loving everyone's debt updates, it is so motivating for me as I know one day I will be posting percentages that are over 50% etc, it is going to feel so great!!!Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02

I'm quite tempted to do something a bit drastic (for me) and sign up to do the Race for Life 5k run in July this year.... I'm not a complete couch potato, but I'm more of a zumba person, and can't run for more than about 1 minute at a time.
Should I do it?0 -

Should I do it?It's not that far and you can walk it if you like. I did RFL before and it was a great laugh and we all had fun. Are any of your friends doing it with you?
I'm doing a sponsored cycle ride from Reading to Stonehenge in 17 days and only just started training in the gym today!!! I did 10km, which is nowhere near the 59+ miles I have to do on the day. I've already raised 1/3 of what we have been asked to raise
Oh and I just had to share what I've been up to the past few weeks, felt on bottom shelf, then fabric, then buttons & haberdashery, then ribbons, then books (although this is now a row of black "to sort" boxes), then OHs vinyl which is now in his room and replaced by books & black "to sort" boxes: http://d3j5vwomefv46c.cloudfront.net/photos/large/751054503.jpgDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Yeah, but I told myself last year I would do a 4k run in September, and started to train for it, but then 'other things' came up, and I let the date pass by, which is why I'm asking, as I don't know if I could get ready to jog 5k in just under 3 months! But then it's nothing like a 57 mile cycle!
No friends will be taking part, but I could probably persuade my housemate.0 -

YES! I couldn't run at all 4 years ago then I started running/walking on a 2 mile route until I could do it all (took a few weeks going 3 times a week). Then I planned a 3 mile route and did the same thing. It's addictive! So much so I then ran a half marathon and a marathon in 2010
If I can do it, so can you. Try looking on Runners World, there is a training programme called "Couch to 5K" (C25K) which you could try? Good luck!DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0
