Can you not use the renewal notice from the last renewal? The new insurance company may accept that??

Direct debits went out today so that is another £358 off the debt. I still have the college fees to pay but the dishwasher and washing machine have both died a death this weekend so I need to find some cash to sort them out:( we have also had to move our summer holiday forward so I have 2 months less to find the spending money. It's all happening at once in our house:mad:

Rubber gloves are not an option as I loathe washing up more than any other chore and DH has problems with his skin that are aggravated by the detergent and the gloves.

yes the policy was cancelled because they added on a charge without explicitly stating it was an additional charge, so missold IMO.

i think the debt is the cancellation fee - it better had be!

    Hi everyone

I'm afraid I've been awol for almost 2 months - although I have still been reading.

My expected DFD was the end of February but due to family crisis, the death of a beloved pet and a reoccurance of my depression I went a bit mad on the spending front. The end of Feb came and I was not able to pay off my final CC. This made me feel even more of a failure and I couldn't face posting.

During March I've been trying to get myself sorted - my GP has put me on some meds and I am starting to feel better. The great news is that I have finally paid off my debt so am now officially debt free. I'm still skint though until I get paid at the end of April - but I figure its well worth throwing everything at CC to finish it off now! So - - - -

    ## 008 £1175/£1175 100% paid

I started this challenge at the beginning of 2012 with a debt of nearly £5600. Its been a long haul but the support on this thread and last years has been amazing - so a massive
    THANK YOU!!!!!
    February 2021 GC £301.45 / £300.00
    March 2021 GC £266.41 / £280.00
    April 2021 GC £53.19 / £300.00
