I love the end of month buzz on here :D

I hope to make some payments today, bids up to £50 odd so far. I won't be relisting anything on eBay until next weekend as RM are changing their prices in 2 April and I want to calculate new postage when their price finder has been updated. Don't want to start losing money on postage!

    Happy Sunday everyone.

They have published the changes on their website, large letters are staying the same (69p), but small packages are going up to £2.60. There's such a huge jump, isn't there? I'm sure I'm either going to vastly overcharge a few people, or I'll wind up with a few that don't quite come in as 'large letters' and I'll lose out!

Thanks, I hadn't seen the new charges. I will have a look.

I don't like overcharging on postage, Having said that I was left feedback that the postal charge was excessive the other day. The cost was 5p more than I charged (I charged £3.70 and the cost was £3.65) and didn't take into account the postal bag and tissue paper I wrapped the top in. It also didn't take into account the abuse I suffer from the woman on the quick drop counter in my local branch!! lol. Not that that is the buyers fault but I thought a direct comment about the cost was a bit much!

considering a lot of businesses are e-retailers now, postage costs are ridiculous.

Yep, I read somewhere that RM are going to add a fuel surcharge on business postage too.

Wow there are some great successes on here - I am just putting together papers to go into a DMP with StepChange & crying a little at the thought of it all as I've fortunately not been in this position before but have clearly been overspending for far too many years !

I'm busy scanning all the papers in - now just need to pluck up the courage to hit the send button.

There is no way I'll be debt free for Xmas 2013 (short of a miracle, lottery win or house sale !).

Hello :) It seems scary at first but it helps everything become more manageable - so don't cry! You are on the right path to become debt free :D

My OH just finished his DMP and it's great feeling - that will be you soon! :)

TBH, until I started selling on EBay, I didn't realise how much postage costs, so I would leave 3-4* feedback on anything over £2... I just don't like the sudden jump - fold it the wrong way, and suddenly it will cost 4x the price!

Once you hit the send button, it will be a huge relief. My sister went through this last year, and it has helped her out. The most important thing is to find a support network, so my sister found a local church group (which I know isn't for everyone). Even if you don't think you'll be debt free by Christmas, you should stick around! If nothing else, it's for the support network, and it does help to track your achievements!
