Lost control of my eBay packing last might. 12 parcels to post today and another 11 tomorrow if everyone pays. Some of those were my mum and nieces stuff though so not all my money. I will be back later after I have made another payment

Wow there are some great successes on here - I am just putting together papers to go into a DMP with StepChange & crying a little at the thought of it all as I've fortunately not been in this position before but have clearly been overspending for far too many years !

I'm busy scanning all the papers in - now just need to pluck up the courage to hit the send button.

There is no way I'll be debt free for Xmas 2013 (short of a miracle, lottery win or house sale !).

You're allowed to cry a little as it's scary but you're on the right road now to debt freeness. I remember lying in bed many nights crying because of the state of our finances and feeling like we would never get our heads above water. Now I'm 11 weeks away from being debt free:D

I think I should stop reading this forum - it makes me feel VERY nervous about our chances of a mortgage when we come to it, because of OH's dmp. :o

I don't know where you'd stand with dmps and mortgages but at least this site will give you plenty of info/advice, fore-warned is fore-armed or whatever the saying is.

Just checking in to say I've caught up. Waiting for the credit card statement to come through. I had some more fleabay items end yesterday, just waiting for the stragglers to pay. Still doing the SEO on my website, but getting there gradually :) So far I have had 3 sales.

OH says todays interview went well, so we're just waiting to hear back now, fingers crossed. Looking forward to making a little bit more of a dent in this debt come payday on Thursday, it's such a long time between paydays isn't it?

Conflicting advice on here, as always :D Just going to save up and go to a broker, see what the options are!

Just checked my bank balance, and I have £100 left between my 2 bank accounts. By the way I split it, that means I can make over-payments of £40 on Wednesday night, and I'll have almost 25% towards my target!

I need to list a few things on fleabay, but I will wait until after the easter weekend for that, as I'm off to visit my parents! Got a throat infection just in time for my week off, it feels like I've been eating bees!
