I managed to pay 21% off quite quickly, but then things slid, as they always do. I used all my saved spare cash to pay off the credit cards, then in quick succession had a weekend away with a friend that was far more expensive than I had thought it would be, a hen weekend, my OH's big birthday and huge problems with a tooth that have resulted in an unplanned root canal and more than 5 trips to the dentist who, lovely man, despite being paid privately didn't charge me for a whole bunch of attendances and antibiotics, and kept to the original root canal cost. Of course the root canal still cost the best part of £300, but I still have the tooth and can actually eat on that side, and no longer have a hugely swollen face.
So. The finances have taken a massive hit. I didn't manage to do any paid overtime in January and so, because it's all paid a month in arrears, I won't be getting any extra until the end of March.
My new total therefore stands at 234.57/3730 I can't even work out what that is, percentage wise, my brain's on strike.
Sorry for letting everyone else down on this month's total.
Don't stop posting, it happens to us all. A £600 handbag made me buy it in feb. these things are sent to try us eh?SPC9 #125 - £816.85

Don't feel bad guys. We're not perfect and we need to have a treat every now and again, I feel - else we would go mad. Weh aven't really hd a treat for a while and all I;m thinking about is pay day which isn't healthy!!! Gonna make it our aim to have a couple of days away some where during the summer - any suggestions? Ideally in England so we can drive.
My little motor is quite fuel efficient so I imagine it would be cheaper than going abroad etc....lol
Oh, any ideas how long it should take DCAs to send updates to CRAs re: debts? Wondering when I can expect experian/equifax/noddle to update their records.0 -

I don't know where abouts you live, but we really enjoyed our holiday to Cardiff last September. It was a great place to spend a week, tons to do! I'd say west coast Scotland as well, but if you want England, there's always the lake district. I haven't been myself, but my friend goes caravaning there each year, and it's usually cheap.0 -

Hello

Todays items have started ending on ebay.
I should probably wait until they have all been paid for but I can't, so I have made a payment off of my credit card with the money from the first few paid for

Right. This is my plan of action
DFS, 30th March: ~£1k
LW: 30th April, £340ish
OUSBA and loan finish 7th June and 15th June respectively, so I will leave those to run their course.
So DFD is JUNE!!!!!! :j Assuming nothing goes wrong between now and then  0 -
Hello all,
I've been working away on ebay, a 2nd job on odesk and scrimping on the shopping & money saving any way I can and its finally starting to pay off!
#55 £520.50/£10715.00
So just another £194 or so to go and I'll be under 10k - which should be by the end of this month..yay!
I have to say having started with 45k a good few years ago this last 15 seems to be taking forever but I am determined.
DS is starting his free 15 hours nursery place in April, so as much as I'll miss our adventures I'll soon be able to hit this debt even harder :TDF by Christmas 2014 #116 | £435 / £2931.070
