OH is now DEBT FREE!!!!! well technically, as the DMP is GONE!

That's fantastic! You're more than halfway through as well, and it's only March!

    *rant alert*

I'm in complete shock - went to watch rugby with a couple of work colleagues (rare), after my long overtime day. It turned into a late one, and me and one of my colleagues went clubbing. Someone bumped into her while we were dancing, and she pushed them off a little harder than she realised. It went back and forth and almost turned into a bit of a fight. I stepped in to stop one of the girls from hitting my colleague, and one of their group stepped in to protect that girl. Unfortunately, his arm got caught in handbag strap, and I felt my bag being pulled off of me. In trying to get my bag back, and in his drunken state, he interpreted that as me trying to pick a fight with him! I have never been so close to being punched in my life!

I am most definitely not the confrontational type - in my whole life I have never picked a physical fight with anyone, and I'm not about to start now! But my colleague then got defensive about them nearly hitting 'nice and innocent' me, as she knows I'm the last person to harm a fly, and that got her more wound up. Spent ages trying to calm her down, and tell her that they're 'small people who need things like this to make them feel good about their empty a**hole lives', even though I know both sides were a little bit to blame. Before we left, she suddenly really wanted to go dance back where they had been dancing, and I knew she was planning on hitting one of them before walking out for the night. I was so glad that they weren't there any more!

The thing is, neither party realised what they had done wrong, and they both wanted to 'one-up' each other, but either side could have let it go a lot sooner, and I wasn't really impressed, I'm just glad I don't have a black eye/broken glasses, and neither does my colleague. And I'm pretty glad I didn't lose my handbag either!

It has put a bit of a dampener on my rare night out though, and I think I need to stick with my less confrontational friends in future! We get peeved when people bump into us, and maybe get a bit more elbowy than is necessary, but it's kept my face in tact for all these years!

Mini how scary! You must have been so worried but glad all ended well.

Some of my ebay bits are finishing today, currently up to £35 :j:j Unfortunately I can't use it to overpay as I need the money for my passport but it is still a bonus!

Me too! I wouldn't even know what to do in a fight! Unless it's a word fight... I'm glad I managed to diffuse it at least. I'm going to have to work out my finances this morning though - that was rather an expensive night! Definitely needed though - we had a right little gossip about work colleagues and how a lot of people are being sh*fted wage wise just now.
  • I haven't posted for ages. I nearly didn't come back because I'm more than a little bit ashamed.

I managed to pay 21% off quite quickly, but then things slid, as they always do. I used all my saved spare cash to pay off the credit cards, then in quick succession had a weekend away with a friend that was far more expensive than I had thought it would be, a hen weekend, my OH's big birthday and huge problems with a tooth that have resulted in an unplanned root canal and more than 5 trips to the dentist who, lovely man, despite being paid privately didn't charge me for a whole bunch of attendances and antibiotics, and kept to the original root canal cost. Of course the root canal still cost the best part of £300, but I still have the tooth and can actually eat on that side, and no longer have a hugely swollen face.

So. The finances have taken a massive hit. I didn't manage to do any paid overtime in January and so, because it's all paid a month in arrears, I won't be getting any extra until the end of March.

My new total therefore stands at 234.57/3730 I can't even work out what that is, percentage wise, my brain's on strike.

Sorry for letting everyone else down on this month's total.

Don't worry Roguey, I did the same a few weeks ago and reduced my total by £1.5k!! Any setbacks are fine on here, just don't fall into the trap of being ashamed and not posting, there is nothing to be ashamed about and it is exactly at times like this that we need the support of others on the thread :D You haven't let anyone down either so please don't feel that.

I thought you could delete them but now can't see how to do it
