Oh dear I am not doing very well. The money I have counted as paid off my college fees hasn't been paid due to some work done in the bathroom, my niece and nephews 18th and 21st birthdays (3 days apart:eek:) that I had forgotten were big birthdays this year and some general overspending on 'stuff'.

We started the month so well and I am annoyed with myself. My MOT is still to be paid for too:mad:

We havent increased our debt, just dipped into the emergency savings pot. Next month DH bonus is due so I will be topping the savings back up and clearing the college fees in full before I do anything else.

Some of the spends were on bits for the house and a fee to a company to arrange a regular cleaner:o If I have to stay in the house for the next 3 years miminmum then I need to maintain it better and I have so little time I spend my weekends doing nothing by shopping and housework when I would rather be spending quality time with my DS and DH. DH spent all Sunday cleaning and sorting out our bathroom.

    Sorry bit off topic there:o

Well done to everyone paying chunks off their debt, big or small:)

Woo hoo FINALLY heard from C@pital1, we have a refund of £550 :j:j:j:j

I will use that to pay off the current card (i.e. holiday) so it won't come off the challenge but it now means that all ebay sales and surplus wages can :j:j:j:j:j

  • Will have to wait until the 1 April to re-do the budget and start again with the debt repayment.

Never-mind! I am still a happy little duckling and enjoying what life and MSE has to offer.:T:money::T

    I know, I'm over the moon :j

After a year of austerity and a few months of unadulterated carp we are finally getting lots of good news. We have someone coming over tomorrow to assess us for being a host family for foreign students over the summer which will be a lovely cash injection :D
