No more payments made since DH pay day. I still need to make the payment to my college fees but it is difficult to get through to them at work and they close before I do. I will make it a priority for Monday.

The rest of my budget is coming under pressure as I have £49 left in my misc/Ent budget and forgot about DMIL birthday the week after Mother's Day. I need some photos to go into calendars for MIL presents (I know it seems late to give calendars as gifts but I bought them for Christmas and lost them down the back of a cabinet and have only just discovered them and didn't want to waste them. They will be filled with photos of DS so I am sure they will be appreciated.). I also need some to go to other relatives, some fresh flowers for us and it will cover whatever little card/ gift DS gets me for Mother's Day too.

I have also spent more of my food budget than i should have done so I will have to hope my MOT comes in cheaper than I have budgeted so I have something else to throw at the overpayments. There is an odd £18 on the balance on the mtg that I would like to tidy up at least;)

    Hope you are ok amr547

What a nightmare for you Minicooperwith the tickets:( hope you enjoy your weekend at home:)

    Hi all,
I haven't posted for a while so thought I would update.
Wee, things got worse befor they got better financially, with my total owing reaching £3825  rather than the £2500 I had originally thought.
However, I am finally getting on my feet and have been busy paying off as much as I can. So now I owe £1000 and have only got 1 credit card debt. I have paid off all my other credit and caught up on outstanding bills.
So my new total so far is £2825/£3875 paid:j

Morning, I have some fleabays finishing tomorrow. 11 items so far have bids and lots of watchers on the others. I'm just about to sit down, whilst still in bed due to chest infection, and start listing another box on Turbo Lister ready to set to sale tomorrow evening. I have 100 items to list, so wish me luck! :)

Bad mood NOT improving! The fryer has broken and OH is ranting and raging, and apparently it's my fault the warranty receipt has gone missing... pfffft! I will just go and buy another !!!!!! no need to get angry over it!:rotfl:

    Can update my total to:

    £1748 / £4100

Ihave re-adjusted our total today :(

With DH's tax bill, some interest and fees we are down by about £1700 :eek::eek: So...

    #002 £271 / £45,000

    :eek::eek::eek:

This will go up again with DDs this month but I am a touch sad about it.

Mmmmmm, I don't get the logic in this? Surely you haven't undone the previous paying off, but now have extra to pay?

I would have thought it more positive to add on to the end total and have £2000 / £46,729? This way you have something registered for all your effort so far.

Oh I could just cry! I was supposed to go home this weekend, and booked my tickets ages ago. I got to the train station with plenty of time, and suddenly realised I'd forgotten my young persons rail card, without which my tickets are invalid! I ran out, asked the taxi driver to race me home (I'm about 1.5miles from the station, so not far), and completely tore up my room looking for the pass - nothing! So I had to pay £15 for a taxi and I've gone nowhere!

I eventually found my pass in the handbag I took home at Christmas, and I've had to shell out another £40 for a ticket to go home tomorrow instead, which will have 4 changes  As it was that or pay £40 for missing my dentist appt on Monday (£20 per half hour slot missed). On top of it all, I've just re-opened a stitched up wound because of all the sprinting!

I'm off to open some wine and fume some more

Oh mini :( I can imagine how :mad::mad: you were, hope the wine helped!

I umm-ed and ahh-ed about this for ages...but decided that I would stick with £45k as the target or else it will have undone the achievement of last year, if we went up to £46.5 k owing I would feel like we didn't really pay off the superb amount we did last year. I am still optimistic that some money will fall into my lap this year! :D

I'm a strange fish anyway...I am almost better when things seem most hopeless, it's when I get close to a target that I give up. This is why I lose some weight then stop bothering and eat crisps :D
