Have applied for the "bad credit" 0% balance transfer credit card with Capital One. If I get it then I can transfer the F1 tickets over to it and we can pay them off interest free. :D

Paid some more off my debt which I think makes about 25% since beginning of January!

  • Hello!

I've finally updated by figures - really need to get a spreadsheet on the go I think.

So my starting figure on 27th Jan was £16, 500 and is now £14,152. So....

    #158 - £2,348/£16, 500 = 14.23% PAID

Haven't quite sorted my signature yet as my Halifax debt is difficult as under 3 different APRS

Had a really spendy start to the month. Parents were visiting today and OH and I went halves and lunch plus it was my Dad's b'day so bought him a birthday present. May get my haircut tomorrow too. It's been three months and realistically I have hair which needs to be cut every 6 weeks at least (ideally ;-)) so can't wait any longer!

Money has been spent on nice stuff so don't want to give myself a hard time about it, but is motivation to knuckle down to the month ahead. Will be paying off my £250 Halifax debt (separate to the other one) in the next couple of days so will be excited to get into the thirteen thousands! It's all relative isn't it!??!! There was definitely a time when I was 20 grand in debt so 13 something will feel rather lovely compared to that :T

    Postoffice [STRIKE]£3,240[/STRIKE] £3,035 (0% 3rd December) Open University Loan [STRIKE]£412[/STRIKE] £0
    GRAND TOTAL = [STRIKE]£16,500.46[/STRIKE] £13,977
  • Hi - got paid earlier in the week so am popping in to declare the new total:

    # 62 ...... £5100.39/ £11364.68 = 44.87% paid

This challenge is def keeping me very focused on getting rid of the (evil) debt by the end of the year. I am feeling very determined - am taking on overtime and have started an 'ebay' box so will start having a look at selling some bits. If I've learnt anything its that no matter how small every little bit of money helps...

Anyway hope everyone is ok xx
    Jan 2015- credit card debt £6970.63/ Loan - £7865

    Hi everybody!

Haven't been posting but have been reading. Have had some AMAZING news! Got a letter yesterday from Canada Square finance saying that they had reviewed my rejected PPI claim for Egg from 2007 and were going to award me £432!! When it got rejected, I never pursued it so was a lovely surprise yesterday :)

Small issue is that my name has changed and they need a certified copy of my marriage certificate. Does anybody know how I get one? Any help would be appreciated :) Am looking forward to banking that cheque and boosting my payments this year :D

It takes about 6 weeks, unless you can get to the office in person. Well done on your refund :T

Going to try and help my parents sort out their budget soon. Sister has declared she's moving out because she doesn't want to pay board.... LOL. She paid £20 a week !! She's moving inwith her friend who lives at their parents. I guess she's expecting they will keep her for free !!!!

But yes, need to help mum and dad out. They will most likely be hit by the bedroom tax and as they don't have anything spare I do worry how they will cope. :S

Had a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad week. The client I look after says we don't "click" anymore and has asked me not to go back. So this means my income is going to drop quite a bit!:mad:

And I'm just getting going with my debt busting too, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
    In debt no more!
