• Thank you for adding me Spagbol! I have decided to declare all my debt, I was going to pay off my loan and credit cards first but because they are 0% interest and the loan is already running, It makes sense to me to save up a lump sum to pay off the car first. Can I change my totals please to £14041?
Mbna- £3165
Virgin- £256
M&S- £255

Total- £3676
• Right, here goes! My new total which I WILL pay off is...

#60 £2149.66

A little more than at the end of 2012 but my overdraft has crept up with too much of a good time this Christmas!
Time to get back on track. :j
The "Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2014" challenge #88

Credit card: £845/£1615 52% paid
• Well I'm off the blocks!

£1.50/£15,000

Not by much in fairness, but every little helps and all that :)

Hello and welcome :) How often do you babysit? It's something I reckon I could enjoy, I could spend the time surfing the net on MSE! :rotfl:

Funnily enough that's what I did on my last night shift and the time passed ever so quickly! :D

Right then, I spent a massive £10 today buying a new slow cooker (would have been £20 but OH chipped in half) as part of my new eating REAL food plan for 2013 and hopefully making the most out of food that I buy - the amount we're wasting at the moment is shameful, but I'm doing my best to get through the mince pies so they don't get wasted :A

Will be having another check over my finances while I watch some Downton Abbey (I'm only at the start of season 3 so no spoilers!!) and hopefully can pay something off my CC tonight - I'm trying to be good and not end up just whacking loads off the card and being skint by the end of the month as inevitably I'll end up making things worse by spending all my savings, then needing to pay them back and I'm not really sure what's going to happen with my wages in February with starting a new job and things so need to start being sensible now!

Anyway, evening everyone!! :p
• Right then! I've paid £108 off my CC, and sent £92 to my savings - I won't declare that though unless it's still there on payday and I definitely don't want my numbers to go down again! :o

I can't believe that my sums are right though so I'm actually looking forward to my DDs coming out next week - my bank account looks very healthy right now but nothing comes out until the 1st of the month so it would be good to see the "actual" amount!!
• Evening all

unexpectedly had OH student loan refund of £300 paid back into the account today. We have been waiting for it for months.
this has had the effect of reducing our overdraft at month end (no plans to spend any more by 01.01.13) to £33.03 :T

so totals now stand at

# 022 - £274.37 / £13,236.09 = 2.07%

Hey everyone!!! :wave::wave::wave:

Well, I've had a productive couple of days...I've taken some clothes and shoes back, I've re-jigged my finances so I can see how quick I can save £15k for a house deposit...looking like August/September which is brilliant!!!

I've also gone for a 55min walk today and was shocked at how out of breath I was sooooooooooooo I've signed up for a half marathon in June :eek::eek: all 13.1miles of it!!! I've done the Great North Run years ago so know what to expect but it's still daunting... I've asked a friend of mine if he'll run it with me and he's really up for it. I asked him what kind of finishing time he was looking at and he said he did his last one in 94mins :eek::eek: OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm really going to train hard to keep up with the guy unless I just put a harness on him and jump on a skateboard wwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :rotfl: Mind you, I should have known better than to ask someone in the army to run with me, Eejit...!

I'm starting the C25K program tomorrow to get back into things and start gently to avoid injury.

Anyway, I've also gone back onto m@tch.com and have been emailed some guys who seem nice... Fingers crossed for me everyone!

New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Debt at Highest: £43,073
• I'll cross my fingers for you Jemma - it's a shame you and Pedro never sorted out meeting!! :D
• Eek! I've had an exciting day. I decided to start off by counting all of the pennies in my money boxes. I had £160 in them! :shocked:I've paid £105 off so far but the bank only accepts them in money bags and I had so many pennies I've ran out of bags and thought I'd look like a bit of a looser going back twice in one day lol. In my defence It's the culmination of four years worth of emptying out the change from my wallet... Well... More like stealing the change my OH leaves lying around. Also one of my piggy banks is the size of an actualy pig. Seriously it's massive! I've spent years trying to fill it and it was still only half full!

If only it was always this easy!

Also I was a good girl and paid off £60 out of my Christmas money. :A

so No:31- £220/3500 6%

Well done, we've started with piggy banks this year. I got a cola one from the £ shop and have said only £1 coins are to go in it so I'm hoping we get a good amount for Xmas next year!
