Just waiting to hear back from a rescue to see if they have a place for him(he is a stray bun, possibly a continental giant which is why I can't keep him!)0 -
Hi gang!!!
I've been with you all in spirit and reading the threads on my blackberry every morning. But sadly I hardly get time to use my home computer and our work ones have got the forums blocked now .
But I've been checking on my figures and sadly despite making a payment of £500 on the 20th my total has gone up. So now my total figure is £4604.82, this is partly because I am now paying interest on the credit card (I think I've tarted through all the companies now so I'll just have to suck it up and pay) and we did by a few things in the sales. BAD BONGLECAT!!
So the focus is back on. DH is finally back at work and feeling a lot better. But sadly he's back on the dreaded weed again so that's £350 a month on fags again. I got asked to apply for a new job in our European department, which in reality means moving across the bank of desks. But also the possibility of some European travel and if I am accepted I can negotiate a payrise, perhaps somewhere between 5%-10%, which would be nice.
I'm holding out hope on getting an annual bonus in March, which I intend to use soley to make a big dent in the credit card instead of buying luxuries. Our summer holiday is a cottage in Northumberland for 2 weeks so very cheap and we're going to say that counts as our anniversary treat too.
I'll check in when I can but love to you all and keep on keeping on
Hey Bonglecat, good to see you!
My update for the weekend is:

Hi, wondered if it was too late to join?
I want to pay everything bar a family loan this year circa £6500 now. I've nearly repaid my only interest accruing card. Just need to put an extra £250 onto it, but I'm waiting for a non debt invoice first, to see if I have anything spare before payday!0 -
Hi Retromother, of course you can join! Spagbol will be along shortly to give you a number.
Got a nice feeling inside when I logged onto my Next account to see my payment has now been applied with my balance now standing at £335! Hopefully I should be able to pay another £250 when I get paid, so it should be GONE by the end of March. Just thinking about how illogical it is to buy clothes (or anything) on credit as just the interest alone on my Next account per month was my entire clothing allowance for all four of us! And now I'm paying it off I can start to choose to buy clothes from other shops - it's such a revelation! Got some good news too, the size 16 jeans from monsoon arrived and THEY FIT!!!! I can't believe they fit - and can't remember the last time I was a 16 - perhaps 10 years ago? Which leaves me thinking perhaps I should have ordered a size 14 for the motivation!£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

I closed my Next account last month. I've had it for about 8 years and it feels a bit odd not to be able to just pop online and have clothes arrive at 10am the next day. BUT I've racked up thousands of pounds on it over the years and have Charity shopped LOADS of BNWT Next clothes over the years that I bought in the sale and never wore. :mad:Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -

Hello and welcome Retromother  you are #149 I will update the front page at some point this weekend!DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
I've been rubbish this week and not potted much to pay off of my cc. Only £30.
Better than nothing I suppose, but had to spend money on a carrycot that I got second hand for £40, instead of paying £165 new and a moses basket and stand etc.
OH will give me my weekly amount this week so hopefully will pot a bit more to pay off the cc.Former Debt free wannabe. Now trying to save for a rainy day!0
