    Hi All

Quick question but first an admission. Don't flame me!! I know I shouldn't be taking on more debt but I think my car is going to explode (not literally :D ) at any moment.

I may need a small loan to get another car and as I don't have time to save and all my spare money is going on debts!

Does anybody know of a reputable company I could get a loan from to by a cheapish car with a not so great credit history? Any suggestions would be grand!

    Family can't help, already asked!
    In debt no more!

Soooooooooooooo...I am back! I have made another £35 payment so far this month but I have GOOD NEWS! :j
I received a tax rebate of £287, and a letter from Bcard saying that my PPI claim has been successful and I am now due £628!!
    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
I have had to pay some bills that would have usually gone on the ccard so I guess that is good, even though I hate to see that £300 disappearing...but the debt is not increasing so..PHEW!
Not sure how long it will take to get my £600 but at least I know its on its way, so so happy!
So this means that I can pay off my C1 card that i have had since I was 19 (I am 27 now!) and my 2nd bcard too, both debts I would LOVE to have gone and means I will be £50 richer each month :D
Well....£50 to snowball towards other debts really :p
I am trying to catch up today so here goes...

I need to amend my total owing :( I may have just bought us two cats to complete our household. We now have a stunning little Bengal called Leo who is hiding in the ensuite until it's night time, then he comes right up onto the bed and runs away if we move. We also might now have a gorgeous chocolate point siamese called Chloe who sleeps IN the bed!!!
Chloe was to coax Leo out, which has worked but she went on the credit card. So I'm going to have to declare myself back to:

    Current debt:
    £2900

I have had some expenses come back today which will go straight onto the card and the card isn't completely maxed out, so I'll give a proper update a bit later and maybe a photo.
That's it for spending now though, it's time to batten down the hatches for 2013!

Awwwww how lovely, i couldn't think of a better thing to spend your money on :D I would love to see a pic of them, have I missed it?

So, after managing to get a new CC from Barclaycard with a 0% rate for 24 months, and a transfer fee of 2.1% (promotional at the time), and combined with paying myself at a different time of the month (I'm a contractor) I've managed to not only clear 3 debts, but also get all my remaining debt at 0% - The first time I've not been paying interest in about 4 years!!!

My monthly debt outgoings are now around £210 per month with no interest paid, compared to around £400 a month and £180 interest paid this time last year!! Happy days!

    So now ...

    #28 £4410/£15850 27.8% paid off!!!

Wohoo!! Pay day - AT LAST!!!

I have finally been able to get on the lap top to redistribute my negative wealth :rotfl::rotfl:

Been doing the January Financial Freeze challenge which has made sooooo much difference in spending this month - its a bit hard core but feels worth it now I can see the benefit - which is I can pay off a massive £700 off my debt so my total are:
    # 008 £700 / £1175 59%
This has cleared my Barclaycard - only Lloyds left to pay off now.

This means my DFD should be payday on 27th Feb 2013 - I am so excited :j:j:j:j:j:j

How fabulous!! That must feel really good :T

Have just heard my grandmother passed away last night :( I knew she was very ill and so it is in a way a welcome piece of news but it is still terribly sad. I have broken the detox for the day so we can raise a glass of wine to grandma with our dinner (she loved a drink :) )

Today I am feeling a bit meh. My friend's mum has just lost her battle to cancer. She didn't get to say goodbye. It sort of puts things into perspective for me - I may not be rich, but I have my family and I am grateful that I see them regularly. :(

Sorry I haven't been here to offer my codolences. All the best to you both and keep their wonderful memories alive :)

I did buy a second kitten to keep Leo company, she's called Chloe and here's the picture you've all been waiting for. They're providing us with much laughter and enjoyment, even if they did cost us 2/3 of our rent for the month!!!

awwwwwww they are LOVELY Kerri!! :D

  • Loving all the debt updates, and congratulations for all the PPI payouts coming in! I'll show this forum to my Mum to chase her into reclaiming!

I have some good news - I now have a credit rating! I opened a new bank account today, so I can start earning a bit of interest on my current account balance, so I don't need to worry if I don't pay it over to my savings immediately.
