Thanks. It is about £250 pcm. Would have been more but dropped the years down from 33 to 27. Which will save us in the long run too.:T

Wow! That's great news, you must be really pleased!

No extra payments to report until the 1st when the DDs come out.:(

I am aiming to have paid off 18.51% by next payday on the 22nd February. This means I need to find another £105 from squeezing my budgets. I am not due any additional income as the sale of our 2 iphones will now be used to cover the cost of my new 1phone 5. I wouldn't be bothered about getting a new phone/upgrade if DS hadnt given my current phone a bath in my cuppa:mad:

I have managed to get another 4 hours overtime at work, a very very rare occurance and I have had 8 hours in 3 weeks. That will be it now though as I start my new role on Monday. I will get the overtime pay and the last chunk of travelling expenses in next months pay as well as DH pay rise so I am hoping to save a whopping £1000 next month:eek: and make a further £280 repayments which, if I can find another £70 will put me on 26%:D
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

Thank god it's payday, I thought this day would never come :rotfl:

Got LOTS of news! When Hubby logged onto to his bank last night he had an offer pop up - a 0% BT card for 11 months at 3% fee - if he applied they would guarantee that he would be accepted! Wooohoooo!!!! So we did just that (his credit file is soooo bad), and have applied for the transfer from his Luma card (which it's 0% runs out this month) and his Natwest. We were planning on paying his Luma off over the next couple of months, so this money will now be going to my cap 1 card :j:j:j. So hopefully, if all goes to plan 5 debts will be gone by this time next month!

Then I find out this morning that my work have mucked up my wages for the 2nd month in a row and not paid me the correct amount of statutory maternity pay. Even though I sent them a letter on the 8th of Jan telling them it was wrong at the end of Dec  Cannot believe how backward and old fashioned my work is as they don't give out phone numbers or e-mail addresses so everything has to be done by post.:mad::mad:

Hubby then rang a little while ago to say that he's been given a 3% pay rise from the 1st of Jan which is included in the pay he got today, plus he received bonus this month. :j:j:j. So this has just about made up his wages from him being off sick :D.

So overall a mixed bag of news (sorry to bore you if I've rambled on :o).

Not much has happened payment wise yet, just a small overpayment (from ebay) and DD to cap 1. More payments will be done tonight. :D.

    #27 £435.74/£6000 (7.26%)

Thats great news about the Hubby getting a payrise and the 0% card. Just a shame your work wasn't as good!:j:beer:

Don't apologies for rambling on. I love reading everyones news. Its so inspiring. :D

Thanks. I am really pleased but don't think I will feel the benefit until the next pay day, as I think its going to work out I have two payments to make before then. Which is larger than my old mortgage used to be!:(
But on the plus side I will be able to hopefully put the extra money to other things and finish doing the house up :T

That's so lovely on the cats Kerrie!

I hit the mid-afternoon slump at work today, and got a bit side-tracked thinking about my budget, and then I couldn't get it out of my head and had to start writing it down. This is why its nice having a job where people don't get suspicious if you have a spreadsheet with 'balance', 'emergency', 'proportions' written all over it!

I made up a slightly complicated spreadsheet - I have 3 savings pots - one for a house deposit, one for emergencies and one for 'wants' (my wishlist). I transfer a monthly allowance into a separate bank account, and will split left overs at the end of the month between the 3 pots. An incentive to spend less and top up the pots as well some months.

So Spagbol, if it's ok, I'd like to sign up to save £3250 for my house deposit by Christmas 2013!

Yes of course! Would you like me to add the £3250 to your previous total or start again from 0 with a different challenge number?

Hope everybody has a fabulous month, sorry I don't post more, am an avid reader but usually on my phone so not great for writing posts! We are all doing such a great job and should all be happy that we have control over our debts and although they may not be going down as fast as we want, at least they are going in the right direction :D
