I did a visit to a house in the summer, and was sitting at the table chatting to the parents when I felt this sort of crunching rasping noise under the table, then a sort of crunching/rasping sensation on my shoe.
Looked under the table and there was this tiny little baby bunny nibbling at my shoe. :rotfl:It was the families new house rabbit. It was very sweet, but it had the patent off my new pumps.:rotfl:

    :rotfl: oops!

Arty chewed through my grandads shoelaces on one occasion which we all thought was hilarious at the time. He said he couldn't understand why his shoe felt loose lol He had a little run in the spare room we used to put him in at night (the rabbit, not my grandad) which he used to have a proper tantrum about and stamp his back leg on the floor for ages after you put him in. The cats never really knew what to make of him .. he used to chase them round the house. I think they just thought he was another funny looking cat :)

    Hello All,

Kerri - I must warn you cats can become addictive. My Hubby rues the day we got one, we now have 4 (5 at the peak) 3 of them are "strays" - one genuine stray and 2 adopted from friends. He keeps saying no more, never again...he's been saying that since cat no. 2

Hobbies..well I'm trying to teach myself to knit. Bought one of those mags that was offer for 99p and the next one which was £2.50. I did try crochet but after much feet-stomping, terrible-twos-tantrum-like outbursts I thought I'd try knitting. For a beginner, I'm doing ok. Really want to make something for my best friend to surprise her so can't/won't ask her for help.

Hope you're all taking care out there if you have snow. Lots of schools around here are closed but the main roads are all clear so no snow day for us in the office.

Sorry, it is 188 and you can add on another 295 to bring it to 483 so my new total is #125 483/25250 (1.9%).

The good news is I get paid on Tuesday not Thursday as I thought:j I am going to start 'paying myself first' from this month so on the 22nd I will transfer £500 from my current account to the ISA. We should be able to save a bit more than this if we stick to our budgets this month but I will leave the rest in the current account as a buffer and incase we go ahead with the blinds we want for 3 rooms, we have our holiday balance to pay for our caravan week in April (£165) and it's DH birthday (he has had his present though) so we will be going to the pictures or for something to eat and I will get him something little from DS. I do have a seperate budget for misc and entertainment so hopefully this will cover the night out and gift and there is already money allocated for the holiday. I also need another party present for a party DS is going to.

DH got the letter about the payrise that comes with his promotion at the weekend and it is a basic salary increase but the potential amounts he can earn on bonuses are amazing. :eek:There is lots of untapped potential at his new place so he is expecting to make the most of them this year. If he does this will more than cover the extra I need to clear the beast by the end of the year.:T:T

My focus for Feb is sticking to the budget with a view to putting an extra £100 to £200 in the savings.

    Sorry for the rambling post:o

    Well done DH! :D

I've got a big chunk of stilton cheese to use up - anyone got any ideas how I can use it?? :p
  • I am a complete and utter moron. I've messed up my repayments, which resulted in me going over my overdraft limit, with the fee of £22.

Someone give me a wall, I need to bash my head in to it!
